Meaning, should we make a big hairy deal out of being shorted a nickel. We did point it out and we weren't stabbed with a sharpened chopstick or anything.

You could mention the omission the next time you go to KFC and see what they do.
    I hate those stupid machines.

This sort of thing happens to us on a regular basis. I wouldn't think that 90% of the time would be off base, which is why we rarely go to fast food places anymore. We will order pick-up from a regular restaurant and they are much better at getting the order correct.

KFC is on my no-go list, which is a shame because I used to like the food. I just got sick of wrong orders, undercooked chicken, blood clots in the meat, and getting sick. This is from several different restaurants. I called their corporate office and they don't care.

Do any of you guys have a good sense of how to get these larger corporations to address your concerns effectively?

Going to the press is one way, another way is to email senior management directly.

I was hungry so I didn't drive back and decided to suck it up and just live with it. In addition it was my fault for not checking to make sure before I left KFC. I was curious what others might do in such a situation?
I wouldn't bother doing anything. One piece of chicken isn't worth the trouble

It would make it less appealing to me to eat there next time though

I don't eat there because of they way they treat their chickens anyhow

We only buy organic, free range chicken from a local butcher shop

We kept buying a certain brand of cheese (sharp) and it just wasn't tasting as good.
I wrote to the company and they sent me a coupon for a large (log) of any variety of their cheddar cheese. We chose the one, the new black page, of cheddar which we assume is aged longer. Because it tastes as the sharp used to but is pusing $18 a loaf.

That saved us $18 I don't generally contact companies and was surprised to receive it in the mail.

However, if I did not see who bagged it, then I have little choice but to take it out on the entire staff.

Upon emptying my clip, I would grab an Original recipe thigh, a few napkins, then exit the restaurant.
This is seriously messed up, satire or no. Not even remotely ok.

Thank you. I really needed a good laugh this evening.

You should go back and throw shade at my suggestion to nadine to use a spork

My only regret about that post is that I didn't use these

We went to this seafood place on the California coast today. My husband was reading Yelp reviews before we left and one guy posted that he got take out, took it home and all he had was a roll - no lobster. $25 lobster roll and all he got was the roll. You would think he would have noticed it was not very heavy.

First thing my DH & I do when getting drive-thru or takeout is check the bag to make sure the order is correct.

You would think that the moron that filled his order would have thought to include lobster in the lobster roll. I like to put the blame where it belongs. This is not a hard job to do. Everyone knows this, which is why people get so irate when it is done incorrectly and are shocked that when they order take-out, the order is wrong. You read the ticket, put what is on the ticket in a bag, staple the ticket to a bag and send it on its way. Not hard at all. People filling the order in fast food don't even have to cook the food, so it is even easier for them and they still get it wrong most of the time. I have ZERO sympathy for people that can't get an simple order correct. I can somewhat understand if someone wants something out of the ordinary, but if it is on the menu there is no excuse.
