DD prints a monthly calendar page that she uses to track her writing goals for the month. I suppose she could do it on the computer but she likes having it right in front of her all the time.

I print a calendar every January. There's one hanging right by my computer and another at my desk.

While I don't print my own, I do still carry a physical planner and new planner day is my favorite day of the year You should have your DD check out Legend Planner. I ordered mine on amazon and its a very goal based planner with space for weekly and quarterly goal planning and reflection. If she likes tracking/planning her writing, I feel like this would be right up her alley.

Nah, she is low maintenance. She literally prints a one-page calendar for the month and writes in her goals. She could buy a wall calendar and do the same but she likes doing it this way.

I will say that my phone has almost entirely replaced my scanner. I've used it for both work and personal reasons. The only time I still use the scanner is when I need a really high quality copy of something which is rare. Anytime I need to submit a form for work, like a PTO request or the signature page on a new contract, I just fill it out and take a picture. Of course, I did use the printer to print those documents first.

Yeah... to each their own. I just filed my extension with the federal and state government for 2019. My preference is to have a regular scanned copy rather than a crappy cell phone picture copy on the phone. And this goes for all sorts of documents I need to send. To each their own though. I do have both a regular and rental business, so feeding the documents through the printer/scanner that's literally right next to me isn't that big a hassle.

A couple of months ago I finally gave my HP Laserjet 4050TN (has to be 20+ yrs old, and bought on CL for $50) to my buddy's shop as a backup laser printer. The thing is a beast for printing high volume and being reliable. But like others, I hardly print anymore, and only kept for taxes. If I need to print anything I can stop in the office for worst case scenario.

I've got an economical printer, scanner, copier. It doesn't see heavy use by any means, but a couple times a week I use it.

Nope haven't had one in a good 10 years I'd say. Got tired of the expensive ink and seemed we'd get one print job out of it, and the next time we needed it the ink was dry. Our library 5 minutes away lets us print 50 pages free a day, so if we have to print we go there, or print at work, but we rarely need to actually print things out.

I'm in the over 60 crowd, so we do have a printer. I use it all the time. Recently, I used it for some legal stuff--like the dispute I did for the airline ticket. It had been so long since I purchased the ticket that the online link for the dispute process no longer worked. So, I printed out all the correspondence and mailed it to the credit card company. Today, I am going to print some labels for the face masks I am making.

I used to use the printer to print out photographs, but this particular printer leaves lines on the larger photos so we have recently switched to having them printed at the drug store. I've been very pleased with the quality of the prints at the drug store. With all the ink and photo paper (especially for failed attempts with the lines on the photos or putting the paper in upside down, etc), I think it might actually be cheaper.

One pet peeve I have about so many companies going paperless to save money--so, they save money, but if I print the statements out it costs me money for ink and paper so they are shifting the printing costs over to me.

That's true, but you printing out the statements is voluntary. I'm like you and like to have paper statements, but many people are perfectly happy just reviewing everything on the computer. My daughter gets electronic statements for her bank accounts and credit card, for example. She never prints them.
