I have $11. Rarely does it ever exceed $30.

My two most frequent cash expenses are $6.25 for parking and $1.06 for a Big Gulp. The parking lot near work is cash only and the 7-11 doesn't accept credit for anything less than $5.

I tried going all cash a few months ago. It turns out that cashiers cannot count and people behind me in line actually get upset that they have to wait while someone counts money. I usually keep between $10 and $50 in my purse and rarely more than that.

Currently $164 which is about average. Whether I'm carrying 10 or 1000 in my wallet, the amount doesn't bother me. However, if I was in an uncomfortable area, I'd usually put the bulk of my cash in my other pocket.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

I usually have $30-$50 cash. I prefer to use credit card. It is safe and effective way.

Electronic transactions are definitely more efficient. And I've encountered a couple of isolated situations where payment was electronic only, no cash accepted. That was usually places where they didn't want the hassle or security issue of handling cash.

In times like that, I wonder if the percentage-based CC processing fee is cheaper than the (relatively fixed) cash handling expense.

I don't think that's the issue. I think it's purely not wanting to handle cash or have to deal with having a lot of cash on hand.

$0, I use My CC or Apple Pay for every transaction possible and have my debit card in case I need to hit up an ATM.

I keep $100 in the lockbox at home in case I need it but it is rare that I need to break it out. I don't even carry a wallet anymore, my phone case holds my credit/debit cards.

Since the phone is "out" so often, and it seems that people love always holding it (instead of putting it in a pocket, though that just might be my kids), that seems a pretty scary way to carry them.

$60 which is a lot for me. I got cash from going out this weekend. But seriously usually $20. Enough to buy something and I can always stop at an atm or I can use my debit and get cash back.

I think my phone is a lot less likely to be lost than my wallet, the phone has GPS tracking.

But which are you more likely to leave on the table at Starbucks?

For me it would be the wallet, I left my wallet twice somewhere but have never forgotten my phone anywhere.
