Our shopping habits actually haven't changed much... We typically do a bigger "stock up" trip every 2-3 weeks, with small trips (mostly for produce & milk) perhaps once a week. We've kept to that partly because it's what we know, partly because that's when we run out of stuff (and the produce doesn't last longer than that anyway, even if we were to stock up on it), and partly because I figure only going out shopping once a week is sufficiently isolated for us to say we're meeting the intent.

How long before stores are restocked for good?

We can shop whenever we want, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables...can only buy certain amounts of things from the store like 1 pk toilet paper, 2 bags pasta etc...the only things we seem to never have in the stores in toilet paper and hand sanitiser...everything else isn't to bad

The tough part about being essential services is that everyone else working from home or not working has all the time in the world to stand in lines and stuff timing store restocks,....For costco, it's known on Tuesdays and thursdays the main shipments come in, so from before 9AM, there's lines of people snaking through the parking lot. They already have elderly citizen hour in many places early in the morning; they should combine it with allowing essential workers to shop earlier too. By the time you get off work at night, the shelves are wiped clean of certain items including things like cleaning supplies, protective gea (and certain food items) which ideally should go more towards people going into work and coming into contact with more people and not joe blow at home because of a stay at home order sitting on top a mountain of food, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies. It's getting a bit old going shopping and having the same items out of stock every single time. Just saying... $0.02

Just got back from Sams club. They had almost everything in stock, minus TP and some produce. I never check on clorox stuff so cant comment on that. They did appear to be out of Parmesan cheese in the canister. Other than that, it was a good run. Wont have to go back there for a while. I was glad to see 90% of people had face masks on, including myself. And, people were keeping their distance when they were checking out. Oh, and gas was $1.79, which was nice. Filled up the truck.

Cheapest gas I saw was $1.39 at Costco in MN. Not sure about this week though. My shopping habits havent changed much. Still go shopping once a week for smaller items. Maybe 1 big trip every 3-4 weeks for Costco."I'd buy that for a dollar!"
