  • Daylight savings yes or no?

I hate it when it gets dark at 5:00 pm. I love the summers when 7:30 pm the sun is still out at the beach.

I only wish they would pick one and stick to it. I really don't care which. But the constant changing drives me bonkers. I grew up in Guam where DST was nonexistent, and I've never understood it. Every time it comes up, I need to get explicit instructions on how I'm supposed to change my clocks -- the stupid "forward/backward" crap makes no sense to me, and I never understand how to do it.
So once again, I'll ask: if it's 8am when I adjust my clocks, what time should I set it to? If I can't get someone to explain it, I normally just wait for my phone to catch up, and set all the clocks based on my phone's time.

I hate time math (with time zones, DST, etc.), and DST is basically just masochism IMO. I love math, but time? Ugh.... Isn't there a metric option?

There’s a growing movement against changing the clocks. We’re not an agrarian society anymore. It serves no purpose and just messes with everybody’s natural circadian rhythm.

        * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
        * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
        * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

The changing of the clocks—which happened once again Sunday morning—is wasteful, unnecessary, and even dangerous.

Here's just one good article on why DST should stop. Over $400 million in lost productivity by that estimate and that was 4 years ago. We're basically giving the entire population jet lag twice a year for absolutely no reason or benefit.

That literally means nothing. Totally unhelpful. I hate DST so much...

Contrary to popular opinion, the agrarian society origin story is patently false.

It means in FALL, you turn the clock BACK an hour and in SPRING you turn the clock FORWARD an hour.

Completely agree. I can’t wait until we stop this madness.

                      .
                      I underestimated your hatred.

it’s the simplest way (for me) to remember.

I like when the hours shift back this time of year. I would rather have more daylight earlier

Me too! I hate driving and getting to work in the dark! I really have a hard time waking up and getting moving.

I leave at 4 so it's alway light for my drive home :-)

i think it is past time to let this go.not that it made that big of difference.
i cannot imagine why it causes so much grief for some people
