I didn't include my wedding band. I don't consider that part of my outfit. I never change it or take it off. It's been on my finger for close to 22 years and isn't going anywhere.

* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.
shirt: $20 / 3 year old Nike drifit shirt (bought at marshalls, usually $35 at a sporting good store). I wear my running shirts the day before a run to lower the amount of laundry.
pants: $45 / 1 year old express jeans. bought on one of their black friday 50% off sales
socks: $3? / 4 year old underarmour socks. used to be my running socks but were retired due to stetching. I'll wear them around the house until they get holes
jacket $100 / 2 years old. Nike running jacket that I bought to run in the winter / rain, now with my job flexibility I'm more of a fair weather runner, so this was a waste for the amount of money it cost, but at least I get my use out of it
shoes: $81 / 4 years old. columbia switchback shoes. I have two pairs of these, one for winter that are waterproof. Sketcher shoes used to blow out after a year so I really got my moneys worth on these.
watch: $45 / 6 months old. Timex watch. I replace timex watches after the batteries go instead of replacing, i heard they don't maintain the waterproofing well and my watch's tend to look gross after using it for running/swimming all the time.
I lately have had brand loyalty, when something works well I just keep buying in bulk. I have 5 of the nike running shirts, 3 of the express pants, and a ton of underarmour socks.
I'm working from home today, which means $12 sweats from walmart, $15 pull-over from Old Navy, $25 t-shirt from an Ozzfest concert years ago, $0 slippers that were a gift, and the under garments were probably pretty cheap too.
Land's End sweater: $0 (gift for birthday, mom probably spent about $20-$25)
Old Navy jeans: $20 (possibly cheaper, I will not order without a discount code, and will usually only buy when there's an additional sale)
Gap socks: $6? (Maybe? Several years old, not sure anymore.)
Steve Madden boots: $35 (Bought on clearance with an additional code.)
Underwear: $10? (Again, several years old, not sure.)
Bra: $18 (bought during a buy 2, get 2 event...I am "blessed", so cannot do cheapie bras. I buy 4 once a year or so, during the annual sale.)
Total: $89
We have a casual dress code at work, so this is my typical "uniform". The boots are in rotation with 3 or so other pairs, and are worn constantly. Same with the jeans. Sweaters have a larger rotation, but for example, I received the one I'm wearing today for my birthday 3 weeks ago, and this is the second time I've worn it.
$14.99 lucky jeans from costco
$3 Gap long sleeve shirt from outlet.
undergarments ???
necklace from my parent gold no idea, but seriously priceless I would die if I lost it. I've worn it about 20 years now. And I would wear my wedding engagement rings but they don't fit after pregnancy.
It's funny my friend lost her $300 engagement ring about 5 years after getting married, her DH bought it when we were in college. She cried and made everyone search the beach for hours. And they made six figures at the time, but the memories and attachment to it was irreplaceable.
I totally forgot about my glasses. I think mine were about $400. Most of that is the high index lenses. Luckily, I haven't needed new lenses in 5 years.
Sweatshirt from College - Gift
Socks 1 pair from a 10 for 12.99 pack ~ $1.30 Walmart
Shirt they gave me from a race I didn't end up running - $35
Jeans - $5 goodwill
Underwear 1 from a pack of 10 15.99 ~ 1.60 Target
Bra - 12.99 Ross
Engagement ring & wedding ring - Although I didn't pay for the diamond (husband did) and the setting and wedding ring are an heirloom I did pay to re size them so that was - $180
Nail polish from a 2.99 bottle
Hair tie from a pack of twenty for 3.99 ` 20 cents
Glasses these were originally from when I was a teenager so I didn't pay for them except for the $15 repair for the clear part that holds the lens in
Grand total not figuring for the nail polish = 252.69 cash out of pocket
If I were counting on the total cost (not out of my pocket) of all the items I am wearing it would be a much higher number.
