No matter which medications you need, it’s likely that you’ll save money by filling your prescriptions at Costco pharmacy. A 2018 Consumer Reports survey compared the prices of five common prescriptions at more than 150 drug stores across the country. On average, Costco had the lowest prices of any brick-and-mortar pharmacy.

Thanks to federal laws, you don’t have to be a Costco member to use the pharmacy and take advantage of its low prices. However, you can potentially save even more money by signing up for a membership and joining the Costco Member Prescription Program. Your Costco card doubles as an RX discount card and entitles you to receive additional discounts on medications, which usually range from 2% to 40%.

On Costco’s website, you can view the low prices the pharmacy offers on common medications such as gabapentin. There’s also a price comparison tool that allows you to look up your medications and compare Costco’s prices to other local pharmacies. We used these tools to identify some of the cheapest prescription drugs available at Costco pharmacy. Read on to see the list.

5 Cheapest Prescription Drugs at Costco Pharmacy

Although these are five of the cheapest medications at Costco pharmacy, keep in mind that prices can vary depending on your location and are subject to change.

Gabapentin

A 60-count bottle of 300 mg gabapentin pills could cost you as little as $10.99 at Costco’s pharmacy. If you’d rather get your prescription delivered to your door, Costco has a home delivery service that offers free standard shipping. The price of gabapentin through the home delivery service is slightly higher at $12.99, but we think the convenience is worth the slight upcharge!

Clonazepam

Clonazepam is commonly used to treat seizures. Costco’s lowest price for 30 0.5 mg pills is just $5.99.

Fluoxetine HCL

A Fluoxetine HCL prescription could cost you just $12.79 for a 90-count bottle of 20 mg pills through Costco. Home delivery for the same medication only costs a bit more at $14.79. That’s a big savings compared to picking up your prescription at Meijer, which reportedly charges $20.13 for the same prescription.

Hydrochlorothiazide

Hydrochlorothiazide is a common diuretic that’s available at Costco’s pharmacy for as little as $7.79. For that price, you’ll get a 90-count bottle of 25 mg pills. If you don’t want to leave the house to pick up your prescription, you can get it delivered to your door for only $9.79 as of this writing.

Even if you opt for home delivery, that’s still a big savings compared to Jewel and Meijer, which charge $11.79 and $13.09 for the same medication respectively.

Paroxetine HCL

The price for a 90-count bottle of 10 mg Paroxetine HCL tablets is just $12.79 at Costco’s pharmacy. Lesser quantities are available, but Costco says you’ll usually get a better deal on your medications by going with a 90 or even a 180-day supply. Although a bottle containing 180 Paroxetine tablets costs $18.99, you’ll pay less for each pill and save money overall.
