Have you ever heard of the 7 Deadly Sins?

  1. Lust
  2. Gluttony
  3. Greed
  4. Sloth
  5. Wrath
  6. Envy
  7. Pride

Well, like the 7 Deadly Sins, I learned from my Rich Habits Research that there are 7 Deadly Habits. These are seven bad habits that will make you poor, unhappy, unfulfilled, unhealthy, hopeless and create a life of misery.

7 Deadly Habits

  1. Time Wasting Habits – Streaming videos/TV, excessive video games, excessive texting, excessive Instagram/Twitter/SnapChat, excessive cell phone use, etc, What’s excessive? More than one hour a day is excessive. Caused by not having any dreams or goals to help focus your time and act like a blueprint for creating the life you desire. When you lack purpose you fail to grow and improve, which are keys to success.
  2. Poor Health Habits – Impairs brain health, energy levels and overall longevity.
    • Food – Eating more than one meal a day that includes any processed foods and excludes vegetables/greens, healthy protein (i.e. organic beef, chicken, fish), fruits, sour dough bread, yogurt, et. al.
    • Excessive consumption of alcohol – more than two drinks a day.
    • Regular/Frequent drug use.
    • Lack of Daily Exercise
  3. Negative Mindset Habit – You are angry, hateful, biased, envious and judgement of others. You believe you are a victim of society. You allow fear to dictate your behavior. You are often sarcastic and mean towards others. You feel hopeless about life.
  4. Excess Habits – You spend all of your money and will even go into debt to fund your standard of living. You drink in excess. You take drugs in excess. You gamble in excess. You eat in excess. You have no control over your emotions and have frequent mood swings. You overreact.
  5. Failure to Meet Expectations Habit – Caused by procrastination, sloth, lack of discipline/focus, poor work ethic, low self-esteem. If you regularly fail to meet or exceed the expectations of others, you will not be trusted or respected by others. This shows up in your paycheck.
  6. Gossip Habit – You regularly speak badly about others. This destroys relationships and is why you struggle maintaining long-term relationships with anyone.
  7. Poor Relationships Habit – You surround yourself with like-minded negative, toxic people. Your inner circle is predominantly comprised of backstabbers, financial train wrecks and people who are lazy, perpetual victims, have addictions and who are deceptive and untrustworthy. You don’t devote time to building strong relationships with upbeat, optimistic, growth-focused people.
