How To Use Google Lens To Find the Best Product Deals

March 27, 2023 by Vicky Monroe

Use Google Lens to find the best product deals

These days it’s hard to know whether or not you’re getting a good deal. With so many retailers out there, it’s almost impossible to check the price of the item you want at every single store. But luckily you can use Google Lens to find the best product deals instantly just by snapping a photo or screenshot of the thing you want to buy. Here’s a rundown of how it works.

How Google Lens Works

Google Lens is an image-based search tool that analyzes photos and screenshots and scours the web for similar images. It’s basically a more accurate, upgraded version of reverse image search.

When you scan a photo of an item like a piece of clothing or furniture, Google Lens will automatically compile product listings from all over the web that match the image. The tool also displays the price of the item at each retailer, allowing you to quickly comparison shop and find the best deal. Google Lens has a reputation for being very accurate, so you can rest assured that it won’t overlook product listings and cause you to miss out on savings.

Using Google Lens To Find The Best Product Deals

You can easily use Google Lens to find the best product deals on all of your devices, making the tool even more convenient. If you’re using Google Chrome on a computer, you can simply right click a product photo and select “search image with Google Lens” to start comparison shopping.

If you’re shopping on your smartphone, Google Lens is available as an app on the Google Play store. Google Lens is also built into the Google app, which you can download from the App Store if you have an iPhone or iPad.

Some Android phones also have Google Lens built into the camera app, which is handy when you’re shopping in person and see something you like. Simply snap a picture of the item and Google will scan it for you right in the camera app. If the store you’re shopping at has a price match guarantee, you can potentially use the lower prices Google Lens finds to score a better deal right at the customer service desk. That way you don’t have to order the item online and wait several days for it to ship.

Google Lens can also search for items you see on Instagram or other social media sites. Creators don’t always link to the products they show or give enough detail to help you track the items down. But as long as you have screenshots of the products, Google Lens can find them for you at the lowest available price.

Other Ways to Save

You can combine Google Lens with other ways to save to score even better deals. Paying with a rewards credit card can help you earn cash back and points on your purchases. You can also use cash back sites like Rakuten or Dollar Dig to earn extra cash back when you shop.
