Cheap Pools You Can Buy on Amazon

June 24, 2021 by Kathryn Vercillo

Cheap Pools on Amazon

Summer is here. And it’s a hot one! If you’re looking for ways to cool off, then you might want to think about adding a pool to your home. Of course, it probably doesn’t make financial sense to add an in-ground pool. But there are inflatable pools that are just as comfy and cooling. In fact there are a lot of cheap pools on Amazon. Order them today, get them soon, and start cooling off immediately.

Reasons to Get Cheap Pools on Amazon

If you’ve been on the fence about whether or not to get a pool this summer, here are top reasons why you should go for it:

It Is a Very Hot Summer

The number one reason to start looking at cheap pools on Amazon is because it’s hot this summer. If you’re in the western part of the United States, then you’ve already started suffering through the heat wave. There’s more to come. We’re breaking records left and right here with temperatures exceeding 110 degrees in many areas.

Of course, even if you’re not in the midst of that heat wave, summertime is hot. Dipping your toes (or your whole body) into a backyard pool is one of the quickest ways to cool off. And remember, if you’re cooling off in the pool, then you’re not spending that time inside with the AC and fans on. Therefore, you save on energy costs at home this summer.

Backyard Pools Entertain the Kids

If you’ve got kids then you definitely want to look at cheap pools on Amazon. Kids of all ages really enjoy spending time in the pool. They don’t need something fancy. A pool, a couple of toys, and a couple of siblings or friends and they’re all set. It’s one of the best ways to keep them entertained at home without having to spend a lot of money.

Dogs Love Cooling Off in Pools, Too

If you have a furry friend that likes the water, then you definitely want to look into cheap pools on Amazon. If you have a dog that scratches or bites, then look for something more durable. But if your dog just likes to lay in the water, then almost any pool will do. It cools them off and keeps them happy during those summer afternoons.

Types of Cheap Pools on Amazon

Once you start looking into it, you’ll discover that there are a few different types of cheap pools available for sale on Amazon. Here are the main ones:

Kiddie Pools

These are the pools most people have in mind when they think about adding one to their backyard. The traditional one is that plastic, round blue pool. You fill it up with water from the hose. Then the kids splash around and have a good time. This is always a good choice.

However, you might be surprised to learn that there’s a lot of variety when it comes to kiddie pools today. There are different shapes, sizes and colors. Moreover, you can find kiddie pools with all kinds of different gadgets and accessories. For example, check out this toddler’s inflatable play center pool with a small slide and tons of toys attached.

Take the time to consider whether you want a hard plastic pool, an inflatable pool, or a collapsible pool. They each have their pros and cons. For example, the latter can easily store away when not in use.

Kiddie pools on Amazon range in price from about $13 – $80. However, you can expect to spend between $20 and $40 for good cheap pools on Amazon in this price category.

Sprinkler Pools

This is a subcategory of kiddie pools. You get a basic kiddie pool combined with a a sprinkler system. Often these are more shallow than traditionally kiddie pools. Therefore, they’re less for lounging around in and more for playing in. However, that’s not always the case. You can sometimes find deeper ones that offer both experiences.

In either case, the sprinkler sprays up into the air. Then the water falls back into the pool. Children and dogs alike really love these cheap pools on Amazon that come with sprinklers attached! These types of pools are actually even cheaper than regular kiddie pools. You can expect to spend under $20 for a good one.

Family-Sized Inflatable Pools

Kiddie pools aren’t the only great pools for the backyard, though. There are a range of different family-sized pools as well. Large inflatable pools are the most popular choice. They’re often, but not always, rectangular instead of round. They range in size and price. However, you can expect to get a great one for under $80 on Amazon.

Other Above-Ground Family Pools

If you’re looking for cheap pools on Amazon, then you probably want those inflatable options. However, you might want to take a look at investing in one of their other above-ground pool choices. They have very durable, long-lasting pools that can hold the whole family. Some of these have pumps, filtration systems, etc. Therefore, you effectively get all of the joy and benefits of a regular in-ground family pool without all of the installation hassle.

Sure, these cost a little bit more money. You’re looking at anywhere between $700 and $2500 for a good one on Amazon. However, remember that these are very durable. The inflatable pools don’t last nearly as long. If you think you’ll use your pool all year long – or summer after summer – then you might want to think about this investment. While you pay more upfront, you also get a better product that’s going to last you a lot longer. Effectively, this can save you money in the long run.

Alternatives to Cheap Pools on Amazon

If you’re not sure, yet, that a pool is the right choice for you, that’s okay. Here are some other great, cheap ways to cool off this summer:

  • Get a fun sprinkler system for the kids to play in.
  • Let the kids put on their swimsuits and play with the hose.
  • Consider a misting system for your porch.
  • Get a membership to the local gym if it has a pool.
  • Visit your local public pools.
  • Find a friend that has a pool and make a playdate.

Do remember that if you use more water at home, then your water bills will go up. That’s always a factor when considering summer cooling costs. However, any of these are great options to keep cool this summer!
