Microsoft has a lot of surveys and pays in sofware (I used to work the window to hand out the sofware- one day I handed out $28,000 worth). MS reports their MSRP to the IRS so you will have to pay taxes on the software as income but my ex and I worked with one of her coworkers to reduce his tax bill - mostly, we proved that no one pays MSRP for their sofrware; we used CraigsList and other sites to prove.

(If you get a letter from the IRS about your income, all they want to do is close the file and move on to the next case. If you have good data, they will close the case and move on - if you do/or say anything stupid, well 'don't get your advice from prisonplanet.com)

The other day CVS asked me to do an on-line survey and said they would pay me $10 in bonus bucks. I took the survery and at the end they gave me $15 in bonus bucks! It only took a few minutes too.

I just have a really hard time believing its worth it. With all the effort put into making pennies on surveys, you'd have to do a lot to make it add up to even $100. I'd rather spend that time building a good niche blog and marketing the heck out of it. Years ago I tried Cash Crate, Inbox Dollars, Microworkers, but it always seemed like a ton of effort...for pennies. If it legitmately worked out for you then I'm happy. But I've yet to see a survey site that's all around trust worthy. To me, the fairest survey would be for at least $5 a pop. Even if you limited the person to one survey a day, that's still some nice change. I've never seen that though.

Did you read and research the first post on this thread? I know I have done surveys in times past for $25-50 a pop which were based on me being a nurse. Others like the CVS survey where I gained $15 in bonus bucks was because I'm unfortunately, a frequent customer to their stores. I have an on-line store so don't really have time to be searching out and doing surveys, but I know my son is having fun earning gas cards and B&N cards doing them. He works a full time and a part time job, and still fills his time with doing all the surverys that he can as every little bit helps since he makes no more than $10/h and is completely self supporting.

I think the 'secret' to making money with surveys is research, organization, doing the work and spending the time. If the first poster was making $450 a month, that is about what he might make at a part time job. Not having to go to a part time job, wasting gas, travel time, etc. is apparently worth it to him. You apparently have found a way to monetize your blog well and that is great!

I do think on a forum such as this one, the more each one shares what has worked for them and can detail what they are doing to make it work, doesn't take money out of their pockets, but just might help others put money in theirs. If someone is willing to use TV time to do surveys, why not? I use TV time when not reading or sewing to do 'mindless' work in my store such as tweaking listings, etc. I'd rather feel like I'm not completely wasting my time and have always multitasked if I'm watching TV. Even as a kid I would watch/listen to a TV while reading at the same time.

Last night I got another request to do a survey for CVS and earned another $15 in bonus bucks. that is the second $15 I have gotten for doing a survey in a week! I don't go looking for surveys, but the stores where I have gotten loyalty/reward cards and gave them my email address tend to send me surverys so I don't have to go looking for them. Not all pay as well as the CVS survey. Some just put you in a drawing for a gift card. But worth it to be signed up and do their 'free' surveys as that probably strengthens your chance for getting a survery that pays and pays well. Those two $15 surverys I was making more than minimum wage (almost double) while doing them so that is very worth it to me.

I am a frequent shopper at CVS so those bonus bucks come in handy, like when I cashed in the first one. They had 38oz cans of Folgers coffee on sale for $5.99. From all the news I have heard, coffee prices are spiralling, yet I have put away quite a few cans of on sale coffee for my hubby. He likes 'trucker' coffee so to him it doesn't matter if the coffee gets a bit old. I buy a lot of our cereal at CVS as well as many times their cereal sale prices are much better than regular grocery stores. So getting free survey money to spend at the store and then saving anywhere from half to 2/3 off of a grocery store price pays out even more in the long run. And then sometimes what you are buying on sale almost gives you bonus bucks and the savings continue.

Yes I read the first post. No, I didn't take the time to look through all the survey companies because in my experience it has never been worth it given the time trade off. Also to be frank I'm a little bitter on the time I wasted on the past and wound up with pennies. This was years ago, but still.

I can see you making money with nurse surveys because 1) that's always relevant, 2) you're in a hot commodity demographic. So that's awesome supplementary income. But unless someone fits a specific profile like that, it might not be worth it. Sad but true.

Well like I mentioned in another post, I've done two surveys in the past week and a half that earned me $15 both times. Just by being on a stores loyalty/rewards program. You don't have to track those opportunities down as they come to you if you give them your email address. You can always choose whether or not to do the survery they propose as they are upfront about what they will give you. Even though the CVS surveys gave me CVS bonus bucks (only good in their stores) I do enough shopping at CVS it is as good as having an actual $30.

Store driven surveys are just a starting spot. For those that do surveys while watching TV, if they were going to watch TV anyhow, why not spend some time doing surveys that may add up fast or slow, you were wasting time anyhow?

I've also heard of people making good money doing sweepstakes and contests during TV time or with a very organized approach. While it seems that a contest is a long shot, for awhile one of the magazines I got had a monthly give away of sewing related products. When something was in the give away that I wanted (no sense trying to get something you aren't interested in) I entered the giveaway on line taking at most 2 minutes, probably less. In one year I won two giveaways! Now I have a great ironing area attached to the left side of my sewing table and it was worth $80! I would have never thought of buying one, but it has been a terrific addition in my sewing room. So actual goods can be as great as getting cash too.

Just look for opportunities that you are interested in. You may be surprised at what you can get during TV or other down time. Don't let past 'failures' keep you from trying things again. Or trying different types of things.

RE: How I Make $450/Month From Paid Surveys

                          Hi surveyspencer
Really good information you have added to your post.
Yes most of the time people get frustrated of cheat of the survey sites.People now believe that all survey site is scam and full of fraud members. For some UN-trusty survey site blame all the survey sites.
People will not get deceived if they choose 100% free survey site for work and before get involved read their privacy and policy. Also have to check the reviews of that site, where people leave their reviews. Also you can do some research and try to find the bad or good site of that survey company. If they are trustworthy and do not offer any illegal or dreamy words that makes sense to you, just go with that and by organized work you can earn a lot from that site.

surveyspencer has included some trustworthy site for survey work.
Really appreciating. These site has great reputation.
Thanks for posting such a useful post.

                              Firstly - great post.
For the past four or five years I being doing online surveys When I first start I was earning about $800 a year. Now I am up to about $3500.

The pay per click sites are something I am trialling now for extra cash. You can paid for clicking on ads (great when you only have a few minutes and also when you have no surveys available elsewhere). Redemption is as low as $2 so you can put lots of little bits away in your paypal account. You can earn lots by referrals too. So far they seem to be far out earning my survey sites. But as I said I am still playing with this and I think I can really optimise this.

I've listed them on the site but the 2 I currently use are
