It all starts with a plan, goals, and taking action
Unfortunately for many, even that is too much like work. Planning, goal setting and taking action is the way to get anything accomplished. I do think some people unconsciously sabotage themselves. They are the ones that constantly slip on the banana peel and instead of telling themselves to watch out for banana peels on the ground they never take their eyes off the pie in the sky and yet again fall. Maybe not due to the banana peel but a deep hole this time that if they had been looking for banana peels (obstructions of any kind) they would have seen the hole. I have known people like this. And they just think that people that get ahead are 'lucky' and they are 'unlucky'. They are just people that set themselves up for failure so they do. They also think that they can't do anything about it. Just like folks that are constantly 5 minutes late to everything. Not 4 minutes or 6, just 5. If they are that close, then they could be there on time by just getting up and moving 5 minutes sooner.

Making a living on line requires even more thought and planning than a regular job because for the most part many that do make a living on line are making up their own job or series of jobs and have no boss to report to. So if they are a failure they fail and think it can't be done.

As many have stated, their are a ton of different ways to make money online. This website is full of great ideas, and by reading through the threads you will certainly find quite a few. I've made some money from fiverr.com, not a lot but a steady amount and it is doing things that are fun for me. I have definitely seen people over there who are making a lot of money-it takes marketing and persistence and some good gig offers. But it can certainly be done.

Honestly, I dont know the answer to this but know some people who have made a living 'online' - and there are advantages, such as a higher degree of liberty, but they also seem to get bored with it quickly and look for other things to substidize their time. Everyone I know basically has a good product and markets it like crazy - once word gets out it takes off and they start earning revenue. The thing is none started out saying I want to make money online - they just said I believe in my product, advice, experience and want the world to see. They put a lot of effort into it and down the line were rewarded. My advice - find something you love and show it off - then figure out how to monetize it - and say a prayer. I wish you the best.

          Kindly,

So true! That is why I sell sewing patterns and other sewing related items. Sewing is my hobby. While we do fairly well, it still isn't a complete 'living' money-wise but it sure has helped over the years, especially since I can't get out and worked even part time. Plus I do keep thinking up new possibilities if I need to switch to doing something else.

              Blog

There are many ways to earn money online.. one of the ways is to start a couple of blogs on 2 of your most interesting subjects.. 1-2 articles per day is a good start. This however is not an instant source of income, it will take take and the returns are good if you just keep on going. It is a slow and steady process.

There is a whole process to this, Don't listen to the people saying it can't be done. I know people who do it. It's all about getting people to trust you by giving out information and tips. They hang around and you sell them new products.

Launch a website and sell others products through their affiliate program.

There are plenty of ways to complement your earnings on-line. Several people here have made extra cash doing reviews, and dealing on auction web sites and by doing proper work at C-list.

                    • It depends what you are really good at like i m good at graphic designing so i am doin it online freelance work and making money.so find your passion.
Excellent! This is one of the many points that have been made. It depends on the person, what they like to do or are good at, when wanting to make extra money. If you can do serious computer programming at a high rate per hour, why go get a part-time job at Mickey D's? unless you just want to see people because the money sure isn't worth it.

                      • For those who have a Kindle or other e-reader, there are many books at Amazon on this very subject or earning on-line. Even downloading a lot of samples of the books will give you ideas of what is potentially possible. Understand though that not all the authors of such books are very good writers and some leave all details out.

Here is one book you can download for Free on the topic of Blogging for money, one of many people's favorite suggestions: http://www.amazon.com/How-Make-Money...rds=bob+lotich

There are also ebooks on writing ebooks. Ebooks on making money every sort of way. Just remember when reading, some authors are throwing around totally unrealistic information and numbers of potential income. I read one ebook that stated that you could make money using passive ways on line. One of the 'passive' ways they mentioned, was selling on Amazon and let me tell you as an Amazon seller, there is nothing 'passive' about it! It is a way to make money that requires ACTIVE participation for any hope of making money.

Anyhow any search for making money on line ideas should start with doing an Amazon search for that topic and then follow the suggestions for more books that those search results give out. You will find plenty of ideas.

One of the best ways is to start placing Google ad sense ads at your blog and I am sure within a couple of days you;ll came to know for how to live on-line the best way.

I beg to disagree, especially with the AdSense ads and your implication that in a few days you will be making money and seeing how you can make a living on line. As I have mentioned, I've had two blogs for years, both have adsense ads plus affiliate ads. I make little money with those blogs. It would take daily effort at the beginning, and possibly up to a year or more for normal people to make any money. You have to have the ability to write (including a grasp of grammar and spelling), being able to write on a subject of interest to others day after day, and be able to stick to it for the long haul. I would suspect that MOST people on this board don't have the ability to make a living on line using a blog. Not to be rude or insult anyone, but most posts here don't show the ability to make a career of writing which is basically what a blog entails, writing for a living!

Anyone that expects to make money using their blog will have to have affiliate ads and/or AdSense ads to do so. Without those types of things in place, you can have the best blog in the world with a million followers and you wouldn't make a dime. It isn't the blog that makes you money, it is the ads that do.

                              • It is definitely possible to make a living online but it will take effort to get it started. There are people making hundreds/thousands of dollars a day online through CPA, PPD, adsense etc. It basically all comes down to traffic. The more traffic you can obtain, the greater the yield.

Let me know if you need any tips getting started.

                                Goodluck!
