It's a very strange thing than I found in this thread that donating blood can be a business. According to me, its only a donation not a business. Blood can only be donated, not sold.

I've never heard of being paid for blood donations. However, a lot of places pay for plasma donations.

Back in the 1960s they paid for blood and the damn 'vampires' moved into the low rent, skid row neighborhoods and drained the homeless and indigent. It was pretty awful. They did not keep good record and so some people would give every week instead of every 2 months. These were college kids, yes but mostlygrizzed old guys who did not go far from the beds to use their money. Turns out a bunch of socially active lawyers and social workers changed the system
