Our status finally updated...we're scheduled to receive stimulus this Thursday. We'll see if it gets deposited.

Just checked ours and got the same message. Now is time to think about where it will go. Because our financial lifeboat is in good shape we have the "luxury" of using some or all of it to benefit the wider community. We'll start closest to home with some more gifts to a low-paid frontline family member who is enduring an emotionally and physically grueling time, donate some to local charities, and spend some extra money at businesses that are working their butts off and innovating to stay afloat. And we had been talking about taking a day trip to the coast before this crisis hit, but now I think we'll make it an overnight trip to put a few pennies into the pockets of the hospitality industry that has been hit so hard. (Not now of course, but when it is safer to do so.) Obviously some of these expenditures will be treats for us, but the thought behind it will be how to treat ourselves in a way that might help out a little at the same time.

If anyone reading this needs to keep the entire stimulus to pay their basic bills and keep food on the table, I understand 100%!! That would have been me back in the day. The only difference between me then and me now is decades of preparation. Good luck and God bless.

And again, kudos to the behind-the-scenes workers at the IRS who have been getting the payments moving forward so quickly.

My status has been also updated to show deposit this Thursday. Many thanks to the IRS / Feds for the stimulus check. Much appreciated.

So I did direct deposit last year but had since closed that bank account. When I originally checked my status a couple weeks ago it indicated it would be direct deposited, obviously couldn't and so I anticipate receiving a check in the mail and figured it would be months. Checked the status today just for giggles and it says my check will be mailed April 29. Agree, quite impressive timeline. I also was surprised they had a current address on file for me since I moved in August... perhaps from my voter registration?

I'm wondering if they're tying into the credit databases. They have a list of all addresses, current and dating back decades.
