  • Economic Impact Payments: IRS' "Get My Payment" Button is Live

Check on the status of your payment, and check if more information is needed.
Even if you think that the IRS has all of the information they need, I recommend that you go through the steps.
They didn't have my bank information for direct deposit and I needed to supply it. That may be because I have only used my bank account for making payments, not for receiving.
Use Get My Payment to get information about your payment status and payment type.

My daughter got hers today. At least that worked out for her since she wasn't eligible for unemployment.

      * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
      * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
      * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Do you have direct deposit set up from your tax filing?

              Married couple filing jointly here.

              Haven't done 2019 but filed 2018 electronically.

We usually owe taxes instead of refund but direct payment thru my bank account.

I am getting "Payment Status Not Available" as well

I got a grand total of $0, and I guess that’s ok, but the distribution is strange. I know people that made over $200,000 (AGI) and got $3000 (because they have kids) and they are gainfully employed. I do live in Southern CA and that is not a great deal of money for a family of 8, but to middle America, it would be viewed as a fortune. My six figure salary is doable because I opted not to have kids.
However, I understand the need for government assistance because of the unlivable minimum wage and job destruction. I’m grateful that I was prepared for such a time and not dependent on the government for my survival. Though, I was pleasantly surprised that through the PSLFP my student loan payments were suspended for half of the year and that provides me with a default stimulus, which equates to over $3600. The situation is very messy and distressing to see extremely wealthy exploit loopholes per the small business loan program, but that’s America!

$200k with 6 kids is not really that much if they are in southern california. What you get back in the child tax credit doesn't cover what kids costs for sure.

Still nothing. IRS has our account info as we owed in taxes and gave them direct access to one of our bank accounts. I also updated bank info on the IRS stimulus chck tracking site.

My mom just got her check yesterday. They’re going out in waves. Give it time.

Since I provided my bank information 10 days ago I've been getting the message "You are eligible for the payment. Once we have your payment date, we will update this page. We will deposit your payment to the bank account below." It took, what, about 2-1/2 weeks from the time the bill was passed before the payments started going out? And that was for folks for whom the IRS already had the correct information. And there were other payments in the pipeline before we had access to the button that allowed us to update our info? So, this is just a guess, but I'm going to assume that mine may not come for another couple months. I understand that there are human beings trying to get these processed as quickly and correctly as they can, possibly working from home, possibly dealing with ill colleagues or family members or the other inconveniences or crises that we are all dealing with.

I think it's amazing that they got them out as quickly as they did. I don't think it was nearly that fast last time this happened.
