I saw that. Is there some financial impact to this happening?
    Steve

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
    * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Possibly with the looming threat of tariffs that have been making headlines.
It's a pretty big deal when a leader steps down, so an interesting story if nothing else.

I haven’t read any details about his resignation. Tariffs will be awful for the US and the rest of the world but that wouldn’t be a reason for him to resign. He has no control
over that. I assume something else was happening.

This is a very political situation so really not appropriate to discuss here.

DS, what about all the frothing at the mouth to lower taxes and make prices cheap in Canada again? That's "financial" isn't it?

Trudeau has been a contentious PM for many years. He's had at least 1-2 votes of no-confidence that he's survived during his lengthy tenure (since 2015). His resignation may have about the same type of financial policy impact as our own election results, albeit many of those impacts relevant mostly to Canadian citizens. The relationship dynamic between Trump & Canada's next PM will likely have rippling effects throughout both nations' economies, as they're one of our top trade partners, not to mention one of two countries that we physically share a border with.

Apparently Canada should be part of the US, according to the incoming installation of US leadership. Well I guess that changes the financial outlook for 2025.

appears a lot of countries are leaning to smaller governments
