  • FYI Capital One recently dropped their rate for their online bank w/ a balance of 10K+ to 3.4% (3.55% for costco members) APY.

    • Looks like HSBC is 3% now.

      Venturebankdirect is 3.6% now, as well.

      • Wise choice is down to 3.6% APY

        One United down to 3.35% APY

        Several others have also dropped recently.

          My Cap One went down to 2.71 yesterday.

            • Looks like all the tax payer money Cap One got was insufficient to fund their takeover of Chevy Chase bank. The Costco Cap One rates are now at the level their generally offered rates were at, but with Emigrant's Dollar bank holding fast at 4% my 50 basis pt rule has kicked in to motivate me to move on.

              • And I was recently thinking about moving my money over to the 10k+ CapOne Account. Oh well, I guess I will stay where I am for the time being and collect my 2.71%.

                The only reason I remain with CapOne is their five star rating on Bankrate and their check writing/ATM perks.

                          • The online bank I use for our EF is FNBO Direct. Here's a link. They are paying 3.25% with no minimums.
