  • Today had a strong reversal signal as small caps skyrocketed and large cap keeps falling. Seems to be a local bottom for now. ARKK fund capitulated as it hit multi-year low.

And over two months later we're still in the 30s range. I was seeing some positive there for a week, but it seems going the other direction again...

Unfortunately, I did not liquidate DD's Coverdell completely & held on to her TSLA shares. I expected her to take an extra year to transfer, but she's ready to transfer now. In hindsight, I should have nuked all her stock holdings and gone cash when she was a sophomore in high school but we would have missed our on the massive rally since! Selling now just sucks!
Did you sell in may? Is it worse now?

          • Singuy...are you still holding strong on tsla? I keep seeing it in the news and today had a big drop. How much are you down from your high?

            • I've been wondering about Singuy. His last post was in July.

              • I was wondering about Singuy as well (and FVRR). Wonder if he is staying the course?

                • I hope singuy got out from under tsla before it collapsed. Down another 8% today. Down almost 70% for the year. FVRR is down 75% for the year. Not good. Maybe a buying opportunity for the bold.

I think Singuy purchased TSLA when it was pretty cheap, so he might still be up. I think that might be the same case for FVRR as he bought it a long time ago.

I have had fun playing along with the FVRR stock. Through a series of trades I am up overall I sold all my FVRR about a month ago. How did everyone else fare?

Well at one point he was pushing $10 million. If he rode the wave down to it's current state that's a tough pill to swallow.

When I worked at sprint employees were given shares each year, when the stock was single digits. Dot come bubble came and it was up near $100 and people still didn't sell, rode the wave back down and the stock has been low ever since. That was 20 years ago. It's tough to get out when you're on that high.

I'm just thinking about it from the standpoint that there is no loss or gain until you actually sell it. On the other hand, if you have won the game--why keep on playing? (I have no idea as to what his ultimate goal is, though, maybe he didn't feel like he has won, yet?) Or, maybe he did sell and he is retired somewhere that doesn't have internet.

Don't you think TSLA stock will recover somewhat in the next year or so? Didn't Elon have to liquidate some of the TSLA shares in order to come up with enough $$ to pay for Twitter?

That's true that it's no loss or gain until you sell but we're all keeping track so it still stings.

As far as Tesla recovering...possibly? There have been plenty of companies that are still around and aren't anywhere near what their high was, telecom stocks being one of them. Everyone and their brother now make electric vehicles. Are they as good as Tesla's, no. Does that matter, probably not. And yes I realize Tesla does a lot of things other than vehicles. I hope it recovers and then some.

Thats true but there are limits. FVRR is $29. A little over a year ago it was over $300. That’s never happening again.

I was just reviewing some of the previous posts he made and it looks like he said he got in between 30 and 65, so maybe his is down from his starting point. (Unless he did some profit taking along the way...)

I don't think we'll be hearing from him any time soon so it's hard to say.
