    Process your own by buying larger cuts and cutting them down to size
    Buy in bulk when on sale, then vacuum seal and freeze
    If you are a hunter, wild game can be an alternative source of meat. It can be cheaper and healthier than store bought
    Look into buying a whole or half cow or pig if you have the freezer room

    It's been my experience buying a half or quarter of beef isn't all that good of a deal by the time you buy the beef, then pay the packing house.
    You wind up with a bunch of cuts you typically wouldn't buy and it's a crap shoot if the steaks are going to be high quality or not.
