  • Happy Holidays Everyone

    All,

The SA forums is a place for people of many countries and faiths, but nevertheless I wanted to take a moment to send everyone some seasons greetings.

I hope you and your families are finding some joy and peace this holiday season.

Medical advice for those in cold climates. Christmas day has the highest incidences of heart attacks. The day after Christmas is the 2nd highest. The reason is the cold climates constricts blood vessels. Those at risk are people with high blood pressure and cardiac problems. Some doctors are advising not doing strenuous exercises which could cause a heart attack. Take it easy today.

Gratefully nothing that severe, but we spent the night/morning after Christmas dealing with our 1.5y/o DD, who began vomiting right around when the clock struck midnight (likely due to excess mucous from a cold or ear infection) -- and she still can't keep any food or water down for more than 15 minutes. And since we're visiting DW's family & didn't bring our stash with us, we get the joy of sitting all afternoon in a jam-packed urgent care for a zofran Rx, and for DW & I to get a strep test (DW's sister came up positive for that yesterday). This winter sucks, medically speaking.
