If starting from 0 points, I would not jump through hoops but starting with $10 Amazon gift card and $10 Crickett cash back and needing 2000 points w/11,000 remaining to attain 13,000 points for another $10 Amazon gift card, I have no problem jumping through hoops.

Also, I have a $10 cash back for signing up for Cricket Wireless in June which I'll redeem now and post a confirmation when I complete it. On a side note I will be switching from Crickett to T-Mobile really soon in a matter of days. Check you Microsoft account if you didn't know about it as well. I've been using Edge/Bing for a few months and have accumulated some points. (It's easy to switch to Google if Bing doesn't find what you need). You also receive 30 points/day for reading the news. It's not a lot ... but ... I've redeemed some points for a few drawings. Haven't won anything yet, though.

I see what you're referring to when redeeming some points for a few drawings. Microsoft offers redemptions for sweepstakes to win Surface Pros, Xbox, $1000 Microsoft gift cards, etc. Redemptions start as low as 200 points. Currently I have 825 points and I'm debating if I should enter some sweepstakes for maybe a Surface Pro or the $1000 Microsoft gift card, hum.

I'm not even trying to make money using Microsoft but it keeps throwing money at me. Last night I signed up for the free 1 year trial of Paramount + (reg $4.99/month) which T Mobile gives with its cell phone service. In my Microsoft Rewards account they give $9 for signing up for Paramount + (free on top of free), this program thus far has given me $10 for signing up for Crickett wireless which was applied into my Pay Pal account. In addition, I've redeemed $20 in Amazon gift cards. So far $39 just for using Microsoft. I have no need to use, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc. Unless they start paying me to use their products like Microsoft.

Maybe I should buy a few of the gift cards. I certainly haven't won anything yet.

Earned enough for another redemption simply by using Microsoft Edge or Bing for browsing. 6500 points for a $5 egift card for either Burger King, Starbucks, Dominos, or Target, none of which I'm excited about so I might just wait until I reach 13,000 points for a $10 Amazon egift card.

I flip through the Edge news feed and gain some points that way as well. I don't know how much, though. I seem to accumulate the points fairly quickly.

My honeymoon period must be over. Seems like using Bing and Edge isn't racking up the points as fast as before. Ha.

For sure, a lot of these programs have good upfront rewards, but then for whatever reason, they don't provide as much value later on. This could be because the programs are not well thought out, or it could be because they've made a conscious business decision that additional rewards don't bring the results they want.

I was getting a notification each day that, as I read the default news in the browser, I was accumulating points. I don't see that anymore. It is true that some days I'll search more frequently than others, so some of it could be from that. Sometimes I'll have to search via Google as well, if the search results don't find what I'm looking for. Still, it seems like I went from accumulating a lot of points to somewhat of a trickle. Maybe it's because I decided to go for one of the 10% discounts instead of one of the drawings.

Pass! First off, I don't care for my activity being monitored, even if there is some sort of monetary incentive. Second, we don't run Windows in our house (Linux on all hardware) so there is no way Edge is finding its way in. I get that software companies are looking for ways to drive up usage, but enticement through money is not something we're comfortable with; privacy and quality mean more to us.

Earned enough for a $5 Walmart egift card (6500 points). My last redemption was on 2/8/23 for a $10 Amazon egift card. Easy & free money using Bing to search.

This would be good for kids, set them up & they can make about $10 a month searching, free money is nothing to sneeze at.
