their food is generally reasonable bar food at reasonable bar food prices, so I would say yes.

I voted yes but I haven't been in a Hooters for probably 15 years or more so I can't really speak from experience. I recall them being pretty popular for wings. So if the food is still decent, I see no reason why they couldn't succeed with a different theme. In fact, they might do even better since a lot of people, women in particular, didn't feel comfortable going there, so this might expand their audience.

      * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
      * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
      * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Another point in their favor is that counter service is quicker and cheaper than table service since you aren't waiting for a server and you don't have to tip.

I have only been to Hooters twice and I wasn't impressed. I am not a huge wing eater so perhaps that plays into it. Love dining at Buffalo Wild Wings but it is extremely rare I order wings.

Ive never been to hooters but heard the food sucked.

I doubt they could survive without the girls. Look at playboy...they thought it was a great idea to stop nudity...now I just read an article that they're bringing nudity back. Didnt work well for them...wont work well for hooters.

This is me. I've never been there because it didn't seem like a place where a straight woman was going to get her money's worth. My husband, who hasn't bothered to go to Hooters in the entire time he's known me, claims their food was alright, but nothing worth trying to convince me to try.

Of course, I would have to hear really good things about Hoots to bother giving it a try. I like wings, but I don't eat them that often, and there are already several good places to get wings in my area.

You go to Buffalo Wild Wings and don't get wings? What do you get?

I've only been there once but we went specifically to try out the wings.

I have enjoyed several things from their menu including burgers, chicken wraps, pulled pork and salads. I have never had a bad meal there.

My DH gets the Big Jack Daddy burger every time we go. It has pulled pork, onion rings and honey bbq sauce on it. They used to have a burger with prime rib on it that he used to get, but they took it off the menu the last time they changed it.

I have had some really good wings, but I just don't like making a mess out of myself when I am dining out.

Both of our Hooters experiences were while we were vacationing. The first time we were looking for an exit with a restaurant we might want to go to. We saw the Hooters sign and decided to go for the novelty of it.

The second time it was when we were vacationing in Florida and spent the afternoon at John's Pass Village. We are not big seafood eaters and just had pizza the day before. So that left Hooters.

No. I don't think that they can successfully reinvent themselves. The fact that they are trying is an indication of a problem. Probably sagging sales and traffic.

If anything, they can probably save their "brand." Selling apparel and wing sauces in other retail outlets or online.

But, long term, the whole Hooters thing might be over. Newer places with a similar theme are probably stealing their market share. Tilted Kilt and Twin peeks most likely.

For those of you that have never tried Hooters, I guess today is a good day to do so. Just need a picture of your ex for a buy 10 wings get 10 boneless wings for free.

I think Hooters food is average at best and overpriced as well. Do not think they would survive without the girls in shorty shorts.

Only thing BW-3's has going for it is reasonable priced beer. Their food is on par with Hooters, just average bar food and it's expensive too. Wife and I go there for supper and drinks, and it's not uncommon to have a $70 tab with tip.

I much prefer privately owned local bars over these chains.

BW3s is meh for wings IMO. I avoid going there as I do not like the service, and I swear the wings get smaller in size every time I'd go.

While I haven't been to Hooters in a few years, but when I did go, I saw families with younger kids eating there. It didn't seem out of place or inappropriate. Then again, this was in the Mall of America. Wings are decent, but nothing special. I can think of at least 5 other places I'd consider picking over Hooters.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

I haven't been to a Hooters in 15 years. It just became too overpriced. It used to be a regular indulgence for me with coworkers until they got rid of dime time. I always liked their hot wings but economics always win out.

The only remaining cheap indulgence is Usinger bratwurst at Costco but I much prefer the atmosphere at Hooters
