An 18-year-old who is drinking illegally is beside the point. Plus it isn't accidental if you're doing it on purpose. An 8-year-old could snarf down a whole 30-dose pot brownie accidentally too.

Right now more kids are dying of alcohol poisoning than weed. It's crazy the effects of binge drinking.

Agreed. I wasn't arguing that point. I was just making the point that measuring a shot of whiskey is far easier than measuring 1/30th of a brownie.

The comedian Josh Wolf does an excellent sketch on this topic, worth watching about his experience with a muffin.

If I were going to partake of that brownie again, I would get a good scale to weigh out a portion.

Joan, I will not be partaking ever again. It was a horrible experience. Kudos to those who do partake, you can have my share.

What is binge drinking exactly? I feel like I'm getting old and out of touch.

The official definition is consuming 5 or more drinks on one occasion. Sometimes modified as 4 for women and 5 for men.

I live in California and to be honest I wasn't really interested in the retail price of cannabis.I read an article somewhere that compared the harmful effects on the body of vodka and marijuana. And vodka turned out to be more toxic, but of course, it all depends on personal tolerance and doses. I see more of a problem not in use but in the reasons for this use. Because when I was in college, everybody drank and smoked, many of course for pleasure, but some were so tired that they saw only this way to relax, and it's unfortunate. I'm rather happy about the legalization process. I think it's a good thing because it helps break down the stereotype that cannabis can only be used for harmful purposes.
