Two items got claimed, but only one person actually showed up. I took the other items and listed them on Facebook Marketplace for $10 and somebody bought them. They're coming in the morning to get them.

I love when we can't give something away for free but we can sell it. That happened a few weeks ago with a vacuum cleaner. Tried to give it away. Nobody wanted it. But somebody bought it for $15 on Marketplace.

Dropped off the item I sold on Marketplace. $7 in my pocket and one less thing in the house.

Big items like those removed are such a relief.

It'll be a couple weeks before they drive out this way to pick it up, but they paid half upfront, and we're glad to be soon getting our floor space back. We've got a large beanbag lounger that's been waiting to get in that space.

That's awesome. I love ebay surprises like that. You often don't know what you've really got until you put it up for auction to a worldwide audience.

I relisted 2 items on our Buy Nothing group. I had listed them last month but neither of the people who claimed them ever followed through. Someone claimed them both today and has already picked them up.

I just listed 3 items on Facebook Marketplace. I was going to do ebay but just don't want the hassle of having to pack and ship them. Hopefully they sell. If not, I'll probably give them away.

I got rid of an old kerosene heater the other day.
My friend was looking for one to heat his garage while he was working on a car that he is restoring.
I had an extra one, so off it went

My wife and daughter changed their hair care products a while back. There were still 11 bottles of various product around, some still full, some partially used. My daughter gathered them all together and I listed them on Buy Nothing last night. I got a bunch of responses and messaged 8 people to split it all up. One was already picked up. The rest are pending and will hopefully be gone soon.

Donated a box of glassware and some t-shirts. Gave away office chairs to friends. Tossed out some more cables and AC adapters I simply don't have a use for, burned CD/DVDs I've backed up. Managed to find some more finance paperwork to shred. Running on fumes for items to dump. I may have to make more of an annual attempt than quarterly.

I even cleaned out SMS/EMail inboxes, and contact lists on phone.

I cleaned a number of people off my FB list in the months leading up to the election. It’s much nicer not having that in my life anymore.

A friend of ours was collecting household items for a relative of hers. Said person was in a bad situation. She took her two boys and ran in the middle of the night. Settling hastily a couple hours away in a rental house, they had nothing but the clothes on their backs.

We gave them a coffee table, a microwave, two lamps, a chair, and several boxes containing silverware, pots, pans, mugs, dishes, and glasses.

    It felt good to declutter.
It felt better to help someone out.
