I got an obviously regifted clock this Christmas and I think it's kind of cool so sometimes this stuff works out.

Now if it's like chocolates and someone ate a couple first, that is a different story.

He gave me a brand new shirt thats totally not my style, I know I'm sounding totally ungrateful but like I said before he puts zero thought into gifting at all, his gifting is decided by price point and price point only. He did gift the gun to our friend and he talked about it all evening about how great of a gift it was and how much our friend will like it, it was the subject for hours before all the other guests arrived.

Well, at least now you have his gift for this xmas; re-gift the shirt to him.

yes it is but like i mentioned in my earlier reply the way things went when my father passed away really left a sour taste in my mouth with him that i cant get rid of. i had let things go in the past but this was the last straw and now most all of his actions really bother me,

his girlfriend was in a head on collision on new years day, she is vietnamese and speaks little english fluently, she is ok but had to go to the doctor. he took her to the doctor but would not go into the office with her, she asked him to take her to the office because it was on the 9th floor and she is not familiar with the facility, he was VERY reluctant to go and after her asking him several times he finally went. when they got to the 9th floor he tells her "see all you have to do is look for the 9 and the doctors name" and went back to wait in the car

he tells all this to my mom, complaining about it to her and my mom agrees with me that his girlfriend really needs him in this time, when the doctor explains things to her i doubt she fully understands it, he is a very self centered person that i can clearly see now. if he does not change his ways he will be alone again, he is divorced and now i understand why.

Lol, well it's a good thing you checked it out before re-gifting it to someone or you would have looked like the cheapskate, but hey he's your brother and what's the saying it's the thought that counts

Like a lot of others has said, it would completely depend on how well used it was. For example, refurbished is still used, but I'd find this totally accectable (especially if it meant I got a higher model, rather than having an older model, but brand new condition(
