We recently picked up a brand new Bosch floor model for under $300 and installed it ourselves. It's rated at 54dB and that is such a luxury. The unit is otherwise pretty basic, but seems to be built decently.
    History will judge the complicit.

      Good points.

Yeah, I consider the DW a luxury. That's also why I'm taking my time with replacing since it's not a need. I'm more concerned for when my refrigerator and oven go out, since those are all original and I use more.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

We bought our house in May 1994. We didn't install a dishwasher (the previous owners didn't have one) until around April 1995 when DW was pregnant and was having trouble reaching the sink.

We replaced our fridge in January. That was a learning experience as they have largely changed the design and top freezer/bottom fridge is hardly made anymore. We had to go with a bottom freezer and had to remove a kitchen cabinet to get it to fit. It was also more costly than I had expected, even for a basic unit. I'm dreading the day when we need to replace the oven. It's built in and it's small so when we replace it, we're going to need to tear out that wall.

While I was staying at my house back in Toronto, my dishwasher had stopped working and it wasn’t easy to wash each and every plates at my house as there were about 10 members in my family. I was thinking which brand to buy that would stay for a couple of years rather stop working within few years as my old dishwasher did and that is when my friend had suggested me of the ‘Best Brand Appliance’, Canada. I approached them and I had bought the AGA dishwasher, the black metallic one and it seems to work good for the past 2 years and hope it stays long. There are variant colors too. You can approach them if you wish to. Hope this helps
