I also sold 3 more magazines on ebay yesterday that I'll ship in the morning. I have to check but I think I still have some that aren't listed. If so, I need to get those on there as they have been selling well.

We've sold a bunch of random stuff ahead of our move. Trampoline, snow blower, kids bike, curtains, toys, patio set, and more. In all, we've gotten over $1k-$2k out of stuff that either saw infrequent use, or would not be needed at our next house. Plus, it reduced probably 1k lbs from what's being shipped out for us.

Went through another round of throwing out older auto parts/materials that I just don't need based on previous vehicles. Just sold 4 items (2 transformers and gun parts) on eBay over the weekend and ready to ship tomorrow. I was talking to a buddy who collects toy figures as well, and we agreed its a great time to be selling collectibles, as we are seeing items sell for 20-35% higher than 2 month ago for monitoring. Guessing due to stimulus checks and more people being able to save, which I don't expect it to last much longer for these prices..

Thinking of getting rid of all the books i haven't bothered to read in months. Books are hard for me to toss but they need to go. My home probably isn't as bad as it used to be last year, but there's still clutter that I can and should ABSOLUTELY toss.

I just posted some textbooks from previous courses on ebay. I don't own much for books these days. Takes too much space IMO.

Just sold my portable AC unit on CL, and basically got back what I paid to use it from last year. The last big item for clutter at my new place.

Dropped off 4 grocery size bags of shredded paper at the local recycling facility.

I used to recycle our shredded paper. Then we got a notice from the township that shredded paper should NOT be recycled as it messes up the machinery in the recycling plant. They actually advise us to put our shredded paper in the regular trash.

Honestly, I used to be a hard core recycling fanatic but little by little, they've instituted so many restrictions on what can and can't be recycled that we only recycle a fraction of what we used to. It's a shame but the market, especially in China, for the recycled materials has really shrunk.

I can't put it in our curbside recycling either. There's a big drive through recycling facility not far from where I live, along one of my main driving routes. I can drive through the facility, stop in front of the paper recycling area, walk my bags over, and dump them out in to a big bin that is only for shredded paper. It's free to drop off, and according to their web site they recycle it. (Anyone who doesn't want to drop it off, they ask them to either use it in a worm bin, use for compost, or put in the trash.)

It was a beautiful morning here, 61 degrees and low humidity, so I spent a couple of hours in the garage.

I sorted through 4 large cartons of collectibles. Lots of great stuff in there that I really wish we had space to display. I managed to only bring one small item into the house as I knew exactly where it would fit.

Several things that just aren't worth keeping or were damaged went in the trash. A number of items got added to the Goodwill pile. I filled a small box with items to donate to the next Disney charity auction. And I found a vintage set of 8 Warner Bros. figurines that I'm going to list on ebay. We don't collect Warner Bros. but we got them years ago when my father and I collected whiskey bottles and decanters (they were collectible Italian wine bottles).

All in all, a decent number of things will be leaving us one way or the other, and I now have an inventory written on each of the cartons that I'm keeping so I can remember what's in there.

I cleaned out the shelving on the door of our hall closet yesterday. That's where we keep various toiletry and first aid items. I tossed a number of expired items as well as some things that we just never use or don't need anymore. I made a couple of bins out of old boxes to better hold the items and keep things tidier going forward. I filled a small bag with sample and travel-size toiletries that I'll be donating. A friend at our synagogue leads a group that helps out at a local church each month so I'll get that stuff to her.

I still need to go through the full shelf in the closet and the floor space but that'll be for another day.

I finished cleaning out the closet yesterday. I threw out a number of expired products and meds and organized everything that remains, grouping like items together.

Now we just need to work on keeping it that way.

I listed something on our local Buy Nothing Group. It was claimed in 2 minutes. What a great way to get rid of clutter.

ETA: It was 2 shelving units and the person just picked them up a few minutes ago so they are out of here.

Today was an ugly rainy day here in NE Ohio so I spent it in my basement. Had two 18 gal bins of PICTURES!! Most are my kids sports pics; when you have 3 kids that play 3 sports that's a lot of pictures!! Plus my DH was the coach of most of the teams so he'd always get a plaque of the team pic. I threw all his plaques away, shhh. The kid pictures I separated by kid and made 3 piles. I got rid of all the frames the pictures were in (I'll take them to goodwill) and only kept the actual photos. Was able to put all the pics in 3 folders, one for each kid., they'll want them someday.

Now I only have 1 bin of photos, but those I have I use to decorate with or display. I had some wedding photo's framed but I took those out of the frames and put back in my wedding photo album since I don't display all those wedding pics anymore, just one I put out sometimes.

I also recycled a bunch of plastic containers, you know the kinds you get cupcakes in or pies or meat trays or the big cheese balls containers. I do sometimes have a need for them but I only kept a few choice pieces and out the rest went.

Next week my DS19 is moving back home, so I needed to get things organized down there to store his stuff for the year he's back. He's planning on moving out again next year, hopefully if Co-Vid settles down and he's back to regular college classes.

The Goodwill donation center closest to us where I usually go is still closed due to COVID. I'm working at a different clinic today so I checked and there is an open donation center right down the street. So when I left for work, I put a few things in my trunk and dropped them off there before work. I got rid of a carton full of DVDs, a wok set, and a box of assorted small items.
