Is it usually the Sunday after Thanksgiving?

Don't know when or if they'll be having the same promo this year. The past 3 years it has been in early December … I think it was the 2nd weekend after Thanksgiving and I think 1 day only?

      Update:
Looks like the date is Dec 8th!
(Gift cards can be used as early as the Dec 9th)

Fantastic! Thanks for the question and the answers. I thought maybe they weren't doing it this year. My daughter always wants Target gift cards at Christmas. I think this year she will get one for her birthday in March, too.

Ha-ha- I’ve been on travel and I almost forgot about it myself. (Wouldn’t I be upset?!)

I remember DisneySteve made a post about this last year (when I was on travel) and I was able to take advantage of the offer. I tucked the cards away and they came in real handy for a project I was working on in June.

Yep. We are regular Target shoppers so we love this deal. We'll buy $300 ourselves and have my mom buy $300 (that we reimburse her for) so we'll save a total of $60 off future Target purchases. Can't beat that.

My wife tried to do this first thing this morning and apparently it doesn't start until 10:00am Central time, so 11am for us east coast folks.

Just got mine - Only $200 this year as I still have a balance on the $300 I bought last year. (Since our move I shop less frequently at Target). Used my Citi double cash card to purchase, so a total "discount" of 11.8%.

I received an alert on my phone on Sunday December 8 that said
Today only. $300 purchase limit. Redeemable at 10am CST on December 9.

Is that your understanding for when they can be used?

Yep. I guess you can't use the cards until tomorrow. I think they do that to reduce fraud.
