We walked ALOT on the camping trip...I took GS for a long walk in his wagon..and we scoped out some new areas for our next trip...back at the stairs tomorrow!
I did a long yesterday to the shops that are furthest away from me! 2 hour around trip 2km each way, as I had not done much for the past few days. As I have a cold this week and was in bed off color on Sunday.
I have slipped up the past few days cause of a sick husband. My next house is going to have an exercise room where the treadmill won't bother anyone. Right now, it is upstairs, but right over our bedroom! I will do better today. (I hope)
I have missed quite a few of these updates...sorry guys! I continue to meet the challenge...and i am making several more trips to my dads each day while my mom is gone.
Alrighty, I'm gonna try to jump on board here. I don't have stairs, but my dad made me a simple set of "steps", three little stools of varying height, so I'll be doing my step-walking if I can't get outside.
During the summer the kids and I are starting a unit study about the interstate system. 2006 is the 50th anniversary of the interstates (I'm so proud to know that, can you tell?), and as a tribute we are going to "walk" I-40 from the east coast to the west, and we will study everything we can think of in between. Since my oldest is 6, it will be a simple study. Check out the web site at interstate50th . com. We all have pedometers we are wearing, and my goal is to wak 8 miles each day so we can chart our progress. So far I've walked 2-5 miles, without doing any extra walking. Maybe I can motivate myself to walk a few minutes each morning.
