I'm in the shop about 41(7-4 mon-thur and 7-12 fri) hours per week, but my work load does not have me hoppin the whole time. I add hours when necessary. I do my books at home which technically adds a few more hours per month.

How many hours a week do you work?

I run my own graphic design business and work from home.
I aim to bill 20 hours a week, and then work another 10 or so on non-billable work such as bookkeeping, marketing, learning, networking: so total about 30 hours a week. Some weeks it is much more (working nights and weekends to get projects done); some weeks it is many fewer hours. I earn enough to be the primary breadwinner for my family, but still have time to go to my kid's football and hockey games and school activities.

Paid hours? Zero. Stay at home dad, so I definitely work quite a few hours, but I don't get a paycheck. It's not all bad...I'm taxed at a very low rate
Wife is currently working 24 hours a week. Well, that's what she's paid for, there's an extra 8 hour shift every other week that's unpaid. Last year it was 36-40 hours a week, but for only six months.

I really have no idea. It varies a lot.
I'm self employed and I pretty much work 7 days a week, but I work anywhere from 1 hour to 6 or 7 hours in a day. On rare occasions when I have a big project it's 70+ hours a week, but it's usually more like 30 hours or so.

Too much! I average about 45 hours per work. Really, I should be working more in order to pay off debt and replenish our savings more, but it is so hard when you have so little downtime. One whole day off is dedicated to grocery shopping and putting in an hour or two at work to check up on things. The next day is half dedicated to getting the rest of our groceries. >.< We never get enough sleep and rarely feel like we fully get to relax and just enjoy each others' company.

I'm only 29, maxing out roth and 401 each year, no debt, have a hair less in the bank than you did when you retired...Id think about retiring in a couple years if work wasnt so damn easy!
Matter of fact I spent a good portion of the day booking a trip to Alaska.
Gotta run, I need to catch up on the 2nd episode of dexter and I only have 1 hour left at work!Last edited by rennigade; 10-10-2012, 12:23 PM.
