I think it is great that you want to be at home with your bub.
You mentioned you set up a website and that you will be setting up other websites.
I'd focus on ways to drive traffic to yours and get more business.

If you are able to stay at home on the reduced income and live off savings, essentially that gives you 2yrs 9 months to really work on producing some income outside of your current employment to be able to make up the difference. This is doable.

For now, I would look at every way possible to cut back on expenses but also google ways to make momey. Just don't get fooled by all the scams out there.

    Good luck with it.

I just wanted to add have you read The One Minute Millionaire? It's a really good book and might give you some food for thought.

Need to read more of this fascinating thread - but for one thing: that is exciting you got a website design job and a referral for another one. This is actually a skill that many people/businesses need but feel hesitant to just call someone they don't know.

If you do well amongst a business community you might get some more referrals.

You could also add to your computer skillsets. Windows XP Professional (can just purchase a huge book and I think just take a test to get certified). Get absolutley perfect with Word. Learn how to do really good brochures that businesses might want.

The thing about perfecting your computer skills is that this can be done while your little one is close by and you are able to watch him and improve this important job skill that will always come in handy.

My hubby, a manager, is quite disappointed at the number of employees who are not up to par on their computer skills as they should be.

Also: some people design blog headers/website banners for people and make money that way.

Concern: what about health/car insurance will that be kept up with?

Then when ready to go on to your career job you have some really top notch computer skills and experience.

If your income is going to drop in half, you need to slash your expenses accordingly. You can't keep living a $3,800 lifestyle on a $2,900 income - at least not for very long.

Sure, your idea will work temporarily but that doesn't make it a good idea.
this has all been addressed already if you reread the previous posts.

              Hello!

Concern: what about health/car insurance will that be kept up with?
Car insurance is part of my budget, will be kept
Health insurance: My son would be put under his dad's insurance at work
I need to allocate $150 to get me what is called catastrophic insurance to cover the big items for myself.

I got yet another gig, but I am about to loose the first one because I have not been able to organize my time properly. I am dealing with a lot at the personal side and I am having a lot of trouble concentrating. I need to get my act together! I have plenty of potential gigs which I have on hold! I cannot let the circumstances rob me of this opportunity.

Please pray I can organize my life and find a way to make this work. Thank you!!!

I am not trying to be a wet blanket and am not trying to insert politics into your thread. But these kinds of insurance policies may not be available after 2014. You may have to get "better" insurance that covers more in order for it to be acceptable without paying a fine to the IRS.

keep in mind that you have to keep your time very well organized as you are finding out. your best motivation is your child. Since this is a serious issue for you I am sure you understand that you will have to give 150% in order to make this work.

                        Yes,

It is starting to take shape and more work is coming my way. Have not delivered any yet...but I havent lost any either.
Sundays is my main work day, after church. Thursday is a me evening. Relaxing and healing
Saturdays I am working on several life issues that need resolution...
I also work a few hours the other evenings (Mon, Wed, Fri) so I am very tired and need a nap!

May the Lord help me get my priorities right!
