I guess if you were living in a country without condoms or birth control pills of any kind?

DebbieL, I agree 100% about the snip, but my uncle had it and about 10 year later it reversed! Yikes! And I've heard about other people the same thing happened to them.
So nothing is guaranteed. And I think tricking a man with a baby, even when married it's awful. You are shaking the foundation of your marriage.
And 3 months isn't that long Jim. You could still have lots of fun, thinking out loud.

You may be right. I've only heard anecdotes from women who became pregnant while on the Pill because they got sick and had to take anitbiotics, too. I certainly wouldn't risk it. I'd double up.

What do you mean "it reversed"? The vas defrens (or whatever the tube is called) grew back/corrected itself and started transporting sperm again????
If a man doesn't want to have kids, he should use his own birth control (condoms). He shouldn't take the women's word for it. Many men have been taken down by the famous phrase, "But I'm on the Pill." Many i spend too much time around promiscuous men.

I agree that it's an awful thing to do to someone (getting pregnant on purpose when you know they don't want it). I'm just saying it happens ALL the time, and yes, it happens all the time in marriages too.
PS - I don't think there are anywhere near as many "truly" accidental pregnancies as there are claimed "accidents".

Right, Debbie. Women don't seem to have these so-called accidents with men they don't want long-term relationships with. And a lot of women have "accidents" later on in life when they want kids, either within or outside of marriage, when they didn't have accidents when they were younger and ,presumably, less experienced with birth control methods.

Birth control pills are not 100% effective, even when used completely correctly. Abstinence is the only 100% effective means of birth control, but I don't know too many married couples willing to use that method.Steve

well spent, I assume it refused together and it does happen. My aunt and uncle did not plan on a 3rd child and she was not sleeping around. And they didn't use anything because he had the snip.
Also my neighbor thought she was going through the "change" of life and had a 3rd child at 47. They were told they couldn't get pregnant after 3 m/c and couple of d and c because of birth defects that were necessary. They had wanted a large family and had kept trying, and they had a 13 and 16 year old already.
I too don't believe women have accidents because i'm 29 and I can tell you honestly all my friends planned their pregnancies though they called them accidents. Accidents occur when you use BC. NOT using BC is not an "accident" you just weren't planning, but weren't preventing.
And BCP are not 100% effective anyway, although DS, I liked the depo shot best when I was on it.
