my husbands is I wont live long enough to see my retirement anyways his dad died at 50yrs old
so he thinks he will die at 50yrs old so why save for a rainy day or retirement!! Well heres my first reason to argue this his grandpa is going on 80 & is alive & well just cause his dad died young dont mean everyone in the family will second his dad smoked like a chimney & died of lung cancer & dh dont smoke never has!!

then look at him and say "what am i, chopped liver?". even if he does pass unfortunately early, that doesn't necessarily mean you're gone too. what bigger reason would someone need to try and save than the possibility of leaving a loved one unprepared?

When we used to make very little money we couldn't really save, it was a struggle, but we did manage to not create debt. That to us was a goal at that time. Wish I had saved...

I used to try to explain why "getting a good deal" or buying something you don't really need and probably won't use is a waste of money. But, now I don't bother.
