We have found oddly that 1% is cheaper than 2%, skim is even cheaper but there are limits. Organic is around 6 or 7$ a gallon. We don't buy it, and no local milk sellers, though there are some under the table raw milk 'dealers'.
We pay $1.99 at Fred Meyer for a gallon of regular 2% and $4.99 for a gallon of non-fat Organic Valley milk. But we are in dairy country and Organic Valley farm is only an hour or two away.
we don't use milk anymore... we use powdered soymilkfrom giant eagle i think it was $4 a box , powdered non dairy creamer from dg, it costs a dollar,and richs non dairy milk...., we bought at apples for $2 a quart...we mix it with purified water, delicious...
