Funny story. I was in the lumberyard last weekend and remembered I needed a new rubber drain plug for my garage mop sink. Bumped into a buddy in there and told him what I was looking for. His comment was ... "You could get that a lot cheaper at the dollar store". This was a $2.19 item and the dollar store was three miles away, but funny how some people think.
Also see lots of people spend a bunch of money on gasoline driving around to save "peanuts" on anything from chicken on sale to lower priced gas. Gas is fifteen cents cheaper fifteen miles away, so you drive 30 miles round trip to purchase 20 gallons of gas, saving yourself $3.00 while burning a gallon and a half of fuel on the trip?
Just funny how some folks think. They're so tight with a buck it is actually costing them more in the long run, but they feel better because they got a better purchase price.
