You know you're frugal if you think twice or thrice before spending on anything.

When you start putting more money into your savings account instead of shopping with that money.

When you buy NOTHING (even food) that is not on sale AND you also have a discount/coupon for it.

When you're proud you bought a purse at Wal-mart for $11. Mine broke and I'm not about to go out and spend $500 on a purse. I bought mine for $11 and will use it until it breaks. (I own one purse)

I tend to minimize my expenses. I am the type who thinks a lot before purchasing something, sometimes weeks ahead of the actual purchase.

I don't have that vision unless it's a necessary purchase, like my husband's gear shift since his button fell off.

You brag that you buy designer clothing off ebay, get it tailored and still pay less for a brand new tailored shirt than most pay for the unfitted version in store. (as opposed to pompous people who brag that they spend sooo much on clothing)

You tell a bouncer to pound sand when you find out they added a cover a club you were waiting in line for.

You know you are frugal when...

You are given a gift-card to the mall as a Christmas gift (and you are a WOMAN), and it takes you three months or more to spend the majority of it, and even then you have money left over for a rainy day! lol

You know you are frugal when...the only fast food you buy is what you use those free coupons for...meaning, you get something for nothing, with no purchase required!

You know you are frugal when...you pick up pennies and nickels that no one else wants, and they actually start to add up!

You know you are frugal when...you REFUSE to have credit card debt, and manage to survive on a cash basis...

                      What are YOUR thoughts?

You know you're frugal when your idea of a weekly shopping trip is your Saturday morning yard sale rounds.

You know you're frugal when you won't go to thrift stores because they are too expensive (comparing to yard sales)

Geeze, when is the weather going to warm up so yard sales start? (<==in case you missed the common thread to the items posted above)
Don't torture yourself, thats what I'm here for.

When..........you empty out your bug zapper in a place your chickens will find and eat the bugs because they are higher in protein than the chicken feed, and dead bugs are free!!! lol

You will realize that you are living frugally when you have what you need more than what your wants. Also, is that when you are able to live a day without eating out!

When you use your unused, cut-up credit card to scoop change into a cup to cash in!
