  • Blessed curve ball to my budget

    Hello,

I am having a baby! I am super happy I always wanted my little guy to have a sibling. This of course affects my budget, but I have learned so much that I am not worried. I will slow down my debt free plans, but we will be ok.

The only bummer is that I recently gave up some baby stuff to a friend who is pregnant... I so I have no car seat and no playpen...

It is ok. But Now I REALLY need to work from home or day care expenses will drive me crazy! So I working really hard towards that objective.

    Wish me Luck!

                  You are so sweet!
And you are right! I am looking into stuff that will allow me flex time!
I can see a lot of the work will have to be done after bed time and on weekends... so yes, please send lots of energy my way! I am told I am very focused, but I am a sucker for little arms pointing my way, I just can't resist!

I am reading about other mommas who have done it, tons of tips, but making a business phone call while praying babies take a longer nap is a stretch!

I think the first few years will be the harder ones, my oldest still has 3 more years before elementary school!!!

And I definitively need to to move to a cheaper city! which is an expense on its own, let's see how all falls together.

                  I am super excited!!!

Congratulations, look at freecycle + craigslist you might be able to pick up some kiddie stuff for free. Also it helps to make friends with someone who has a child slightly older than yours then you can get all the hand me downs

perhaps I'm dense, but I thought you were single? Just being nosy. I pray you have an easy and successful pregnancy.

                        Congratulations!!!

In a way its good that you gave away your baby stuff. The little one on the way also deserves new stuff Anyway, many companies these days let their employees to work from home for most days of the week and they only have to report one or 2 days in the office.

Try if you can have that arrangement too.

I regret to report I had a miscarriage, aggravated with a very bad experience where I was treated very badly at a doctor's office where I was soupoused to have a procedure done called DNC.

I ended up at the ER at the Memorial System after leaving that doctors office without getting any treatment, but I was already drugged up.

At Memorial they seem to understand what health care is about and that I am a human being who lost a baby and not a car waiting or an oil change.

I have lost count of how many times I have had to switch doctors only because of the staff's lack of respect, compassion and basic common sense. Sadly most patients have accepted this as "the way things are".

It was really bad, they even called security and the police, the police was appalled at their behavior and they apologize to me and advise it was better if I left. I couldn't even get my copayment back that day.

I'll be ok, and maybe I will be blessed again. The good news is that after a series of event I no longer needed any procedure done on my body.

I am recovering from blood deficiencies now. Life changes in a dime. Cherish every moment.

Thank you ccf, they say my copayment refund ($270) is on the mail...

As per the rest, nobody will take a complaint filing because it is a doctors office, all I can do is choose another doctor next time I need an OBGYN.

I tried department of health and the FTC, but it is no use, abuse, rudeness and lack of compassion is not a problem for health care.

It is sad that if I get such bad treatment at an store I can file a complaint with consumer protection. but not about a doctor's office.

I am working in recovering, taking my supplements and grieving. I tried to locate the doctor to tell him what happened (he was not present, he was tenting to emergency c-sections) But heis not returning my calls.

It is hard, but I still have plenty of blessings, starting with my two year old. My job, my support system, and much more.

It changes your perspective, as you could see on my debt update I am giving priority on having a more decent EF than erradicating ALL my debt.
