I have always wanted to do this! BUt I can never figure out when the sales are in my area. Also worried about how much they run? Hundreds or thousands of dollars??? Plus, if you sell your unusables youre getting the ROI. Good job!

                  Baby Massage Techniques

Slowly and gently pumping the legs can ease a colicky baby. Repeat this motion of pumping the legs toward the chest, holding then lowering the legs down again.

Health experts explain how to soothe fussy, colicky babies with massages.

This method of touch therapy can help a baby the natural way.

•The best time for a baby massage is after a bath. The baby is comfortable, happy and in his or her environment.

•Prepare a soft massage surface. A pillow covered by a blanket works great.

•Warm the massage oil by rubbing hands together before applying.

Relaxing with baby is a great time for a foot massage. Use gentle acupressure, pressing softly on different parts of the baby's foot. Also try a hand massage on baby, using the same soft acupressure on each hand. This is a chance to teach various parts of the body as well.

A brief massage can lend to a longer, more restful nap for baby.
Keep the massage low-key. A vigorous massage could get him or her worked up.

•Follow baby's cues during the massage. If the baby seems uncomfortable, change the technique, and if the baby is enjoying the massage, this can identify what works.

•Avoid any cut or bruised area on baby. Also, avoid massaging the baby if he or she is running a fever, as this could increase body temperature.

Remember, a massage at any point increases bonding between the parent and child.
Once the baby learns to speak, he or she can thank you!

Some More Safety Tips For Women

Ladies there are serial killers and others out there stalking women. Women like to drive their own style of car. So these are the ones staked out. If there is and empty spot next to one of the so called vehicles- then stalkers will park next to it. Wait for the woman to return, and throw her into his van, upon opening her door. Better to use and older car, or your hubby’s

                    Ladies do not travel alone.

Ladies put your purses in the trunk. If you’re in an accident, no one can try to steal your purse until help arrives.

Ladies keep your car doors locked. If you have to stop for a light, or stop sign – no one can try and jump in.

Ladies see if you can find some brass knuckles. Put these on before entering the parking lot to get into your vehicle, or keep your keys in your hand. If you need to use either, make sure the other person really feels it. Or he is pissed and you will get it even worse.
Ladies keep the doors of your home locked. Still searching for a guy that raped an killed and18 year old gal. He shimmied up an apartment complex and went into a glass sliding door that was unlocked. It took place near a college. Those college kids did all kinds of crazy stunts there, so no one thought anything of it until the gal was murdered. No one even bothered to get a good look at the suspect.

Ladies if you go out to your car in a parking lot, and see a van parked next to you, with a man inside. Go back in and get help. Don’t try to get in your car alone. That’s what those guards are for, to serve and protect. So make them earn their money. Better to be safe than sorry.

Ladies do not wear fancy duds to a mall and heels. Stalkers look for these. A so called easy prey. You can not run in heels. So wear casual and comfortable shoes.

If We All Use Our Brains- Maybe We Can Keep From Getting Raped Or Murdered.

Dog Tips And Things I do.

A single flea can bite a dog more than 400 times.

A female flea can lay hundreds of eggs on your pet.

When I lived in Hawaii, the vet said they had100 different kinds of fleas.
My pomeranians were given a pill and a liquid at the same time. He said the two medications had to work together to kill their fleas. We had to treat the yards constantly. Then a kennel owner told us of a great treatment to use on the yards. Worked great.
                      Still like it for here.

Your yard is never free of fleas. Any person or animal passing by can have one or more fleas on them. Then those fleas can jump off into your yard. Maybe hitch a ride on you or your dog. Next thing you know their back in your house. It doesn’t matter if you just sprayed your yard or not.

You kill only the ones in the yard with the treatment. But does nothing to the new ones entering your yard. So when they spray your just wasting your money. You can go buy a cheaper product, that works just as good. But got to admit this product the kennels suggested works pretty good.

This is my flea spray I use on my poms.
I cut up 1 lemon into quarters. Then I put the sections into a pint jar.
Cover them with boiling water. Let it sit out all night. In the morning I strain it, and spray them.

Burrs on a dog. Just pour on a little vegetable oil. Wait 5 minutes or so, and comb them
                      out.

Flea collars I put on before flea season starts. Seems to work better, than leaving it on continuously.I also air them out of the reach of small children for a week.
                      Do it once a month.

I keep my pet food in a pail with a lid.

I keep their bowls on a rubber mat, no spills.

Now if you want to get your dog spayed or neutered, I’d suggest calling the pet shops- ask when the mobile for these surgeries is going to be in town. Get signed up.
There cheaper than a vet, do a good job, and you can pick your animal up in a few hours.

Dog coolers- Take a large western size hanker chief and soak it in cold water.
Next fold it into a triangle. Now lay it in the freezer. When it is ready, tie it around your dogs neck. Keeps him nice an cool. I make four of these. Keep them on hand constantly. When one gets warm, I switch to another.

I also make them coolers that stay cold for hours. But you need to put beads in these.
I make them for adults too. These are awesome. In the summer you can play ball for at least two – three hours Stay cool in the meantime.

I also keep them cool inside. I keep a spray bottle of water in my frig.
Then I mist them with it. They like this mist on their faces. I just say, o.k. time to get sprayed, and they come. No problem. Or time to get brushed, and they run.

I even vacuum my dogs. They love it. I say o.k. guys heads up , and up goes the head, so I can vacuum the neck area. Then I go over the whole body next.
Last the little tail gets sucked into the hose, and we’re done. They like to stay pretty and handsome, and I like keeping them that way. I use Zodiac shampoo on them.
After the scrubbing, my hubby keeps an eye on them. I run around an vacuum all my carpeting. When I finish, we both rinse and let them out. Then we have clean dogs, and clean carpeting at the same time. No fleas, until they go back outside.
Then it keeps down the shedding. Although they don’t shed much anyway.
I have two little ones. A male and a female.

I also rub them good with a fabric softener sheet. Do this daily during shedding season. They don’t shed much anyway.

I give them peanut butter on milk bones. Or in a spoon.

I also hide treats in a round plastic ball with a hole. They chase it around until the treats fall out. Keeps them busy, and occupied.

I have fun with my dogs, just like I do with the kids. If ya can’t have fun, ya might as well be dead.. I’m not ready to go there yet. When I am I’ll be there for a long time. So I’m going to enjoy ever waking moment.

WE HAVE VERY HAPPY LITTLE GUYS. SO EVERYTHING I DO IS WELL WORTH IT.

                        Kitchen Tips On Potatoes

                        Potato Chips.
Broken. No you can’t glue them back together, so just forget the super glue. But you can break them up even more. Then sprinkle these delights all over the top of a casserole.

                        Soggy.
Get a security guard to stand by. Now put them under the broiler for a few. Tell the guard to watch and make sure they don’t brown.
Or tell the guard to get lost. You put them in the microwave for 30 – 60 seconds on high, and you watch them. Let sit for 3 minutes.

                        Baked .
Exploding – DUCK THIS TIME. Next time cut a slice in the potato. Let the steam escape and no more blow ups.

                        Boiled.
Aw you were boiling them for a potato salad. The poor things disintegrated. Not to worry. – all is not lost. Now get your skates on, and get some things collected on the double. You need crunchy bits of celery, some chopped onions, and dill pickles. Combine everything you can find and add it to the potatoes. No not everything in the house. Just food items. Now toss lightly and pack this into a bowl or a mold. Firm it down good.
Chill – turn it out and decorate with parsley. A plus for disaster.
If there bland don’t fret, just add a pinch of rosemary to the cooking liquid. Or throw on some sour cream to which a pinch of marjoram has been added.

                        Boiled.
Old and Stale. Add a slice of lemon to the water. No I didn’t say the whole lemon. Pay attention. It will prevent discoloration, and help bring out the flavor that remains.

                        Mashed
There comes a time in everyone’s life, when they can’t stomach another spoonful, so hit the road. Enough is enough. Mom don’t cry yet. Take and make some patties out of them, and add a little nutmeg.

                        Not Enough.
Then take an slice them thin. Make some scalloped. These are rich so people will eat less.

i got a swiffer floor thingy free when i helped a friend moved. i use dollar tree kitchen/bath wipes instead of the swiffer brand ones to clean my floors. i used to use cheap washclothes but it added to the laundry and i had to mix the cleaner. they are easier and fast, i store the swiffer under the ledge of my counter and the wipes under the sink, so fast and easy.
