I watched the debate, but it didn't change my opinion. My vote has been cast for a third party candidate.

What Did You Guys Think About The Debate?

Ugh, I am so bored with the Giants/Packers game that I actually switched to watch some of the second debate.
My take on what I saw thus far:
Both are side stepping the questions regarding their negative past actions/comments.
Martha Raddatz bias was over the top. Personally never heard of the woman or her background prior to today. Found articles accusing her of being biased for Obama debates. Prior to my search, I made the comment to my DW that this woman was over the top, and she responded that she just saw a FB post stating the same thing.
One of Trump's responses included that he hasn't spoken to Pence and disagreed with him on one of his statements. Definitely think he should have worded that differently.

Trump makes me sick. It concerns me that he has no respect for anyone and clearly no grasp on his emotions. His treatment of women and minorities is inexcusable. He tells far more lies than truths. His business activities paint him to be a swindling con-artist who can't even treat his own employees and contractors decently. And this is the guy we want to be our leader??? I can't imagine that he would ever feel a sense of duty to the US, because he has never shown that he can muster having any amount of personal responsibility.
From what I can tell when I travel, the rest of the world is embarrassed (and worried) for us too.
Last night, he looked and sounded like he took 4 valium and then snorted lines of coke just before the debate. And the creepy lurking, ugh. Nope, I'm really done with this guy, and I really hope he does not get elected.
On a lighter note, Alec Baldwin's SNL impressions of him are right on and hilarious. I cannot wait to see next week's.

I agree with some of your views on Trump and having him as our President would indeed be an embarrassment.
That being said, I could list just as many derogatory AND ACCURATE things about Hillary. I will be just as embarrassed for our country if she is elected.

I had to laugh at the last question. I turned it on late and saw what do you admire about the other person. Trump said Hillary doesn't quit. That's good. But the best she could come up with is how good his kids are and she tips his hat to him. I admire his kids too. But that's the best she could do?

I watched the Apprentice for several seasons and they always came off well, especially Ivanka.

Yeah, he answered that much better than she did. I am sure many will argue it is because there isn't much to admire about him, but she could have done better.
Personally, I am glad that he feels "unshackled" and will handle this as he sees fit in the last month. For better or worse (or both), this is his show. This way, he also can't blame it on anyone for not letting him run it as he sees fit... although I suspect he will still lay blame on others somehow.
I think Trump did surprisingly better in the second debate, although I also left even more thoroughly disgusted with Trump. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying that I wholeheartedly trust Clinton regarding the email fiasco and I completely disagree with her stance on gun control. However, there is absolutely no way I can vote for a guy like Trump. This isn't about party loyalty or even about policies at this point. This is also about decency and leading the charge to spread what is good about America. Trump is the polar opposite of what America should represent. If he truly represents America... then I am truly ashamed to be an American.

Looking at the polls, it's looking to see that this election will be pretty favorable toward Hillary unless there's a wikileak bombshell in the next few weeks.
Are you guys afraid at the instability Trump has amplified with his base in raising the legitimacy of the democratic process? Will there to be a revolution(at least a blind one?). Cause right now his "reasoning" that he is actually ahead despite of the polls is because they are rigged, the and the elections are rigged and it's obviously they are because he draws up a huge crowd. I'm afraid his followers doesn't understand math and actually believes in this nonsense...so...
Honestly I give 2 rats about their policies and the #1 issue on my mind is social unrest (because this will ACTUALLY hit home and be extremely detrimental to my standard of living). Currently people are so divisive that there's a portion of the U.S thinks there's a huge conspiracy of the American government suppressing the people (maybe they are, but I could care less). The last thing I want is a "Us vs them" mentality...the whites vs minorities, Christianity vs Islam, the rich vs the poor, and the government vs the people. I see people on youtube comments stating that they want to "burn the rich"..and want to see "blood". It's sounding like China before the Cultural revolution. This is what happens when you make a billion excuses for being poor(it's the Mexicans, wall street, government, blah blah blah)..the more you feed into their anger, the more likely they want a communist regime. It's what happened in China.Last edited by Singuy; 10-12-2016, 02:38 PM.
