The biggest downside is the monthly limits, as I explained above. But as I said, we got around that by each of us having a separate account, with both of us as 'authorized users' with each other's card. We will occasionally/accidentally bump above the rewards limit on one of the cards (typically for groceries), but you still get 1% back for spending above the $250/$750 spending caps, so not really a deal-breaker. I honestly don't know why this card isn't more popular... I love it, and tell anyone who is interested that they need to get this card.

These three categories are easily the most frequently used in our household. My wife & I both have one of these cards, effectively doubling the monthly cash back limits. I also convinced my brother & father to both get this card as well.
For everything that doesn't fall inside those categories, I do have the Citi Double Cash card, which definitely is a great card as well.

For cash back cards Discover and Chase freedom, 5% categories are very good.
But rewards I really, really want are first and business class flights to Asia (to Europe I can suffer though, but to Asia, I just don't want to). I've had somewhere around 10 flights like these between Cathay Pacific and Delta. Sweet. I should post trip report some day.
Right now I have enough aa points saved up for 1 way Cathay flight for all 3 of us to Asia. The card I'm currently on is Amex Platinum, for airline transfer points. I had to pay $450 annual fee, but I will get a Singapore Airlines suite out of this, which will be a tremendous value for the money.
