As for flu vaccines, usually that is around September or October when I get mine, so still a bit early.

Yes, flu vaccines usually come out in August. I know at my job the deadline to get it was November 1.

I’m 52 and got my booster back in November as soon as they opened it up for my age range. The first two were Pfizer and the booster was the same, and it went pretty smoothly overall, just a sore arm and I felt kind of run down the next day, but nothing major. I figured it was worth it for the extra layer of protection, especially since I’m around my parents a lot and didn’t want to take chances.

I actually just got mine last week at the local CVS since I’m coming up on that six-month mark from my initial series. Honestly, it was a breeze—my arm was a bit sore for a day, maybe slightly more tired than usual, but nothing some Tylenol and an early bedtime couldn't fix. I figured with the holidays coming up and more time spent indoors, it’s worth the peace of mind just to have that extra layer of protection. Definitely felt easier than the second dose for me, so hopefully you have the same experience once you’re cleared to go!

I actually just got mine last week at a local CVS. I was a bit hesitant because the second dose wiped me out for a full day, but this time around it wasn't bad at all—just a sore arm and some minor fatigue the next morning. It’s definitely a relief to have it checked off the list, especially with travel coming up. For me, the peace of mind is worth the couple of hours of feeling sluggish.
