Thanks! The moving dust is settling now. I'm really happy about the lower rent. And I can walk to work which is a bit unreal. Im still getting used to it after driving 30 minutes each way for so long.
I saved $50 every two weeks with a post I saw from a friend of mine. I did it by having an auto save to a different account within my bank, So I never saw the $50 leave the checking account, just went straight into the savings.
The first 2 months were hard because I noticed it, but after a while you start realizing that it is possible by just not buying things.
I also downloaded a money management book from the same place with a spreadsheet.
It is possible. I'll do it again but try and double my savings so I hope to have $2400 by the end of 2018 + $1200 = $3600 by end of the year. Get organized, get those bills in order and execute!
RTAMPAS, welcome to SA. Delighted to learn you've been contributing to a 52 week challenge to the point of hardly noticing the sum transferring from pay. I'm impressed that you're goal on going is to double your savings. WOW!
