I like your plan to stick with the challenge and add the bonus money to get your emergency fund saved faster. You're doing a great job!

This week I made 2 bonus deposits from other sources of income besides my day job. When the account balance hits Dave Ramsey's $1K mini emergency fund amount I will stop the bonus deposits, continue the 52 week challenge but redirect that bonus money to the credit card balances.

Great job Steve! Great use of bonus money. I do the same with small, non regular money such as dividend checks.

Just got back from vacation but I set an automatic transfer for $125 before I left. Looking forward to 2 bonus deposits this week.

I'm feeling pretty broke after my vacation. but I still paid myself first from the "non-overtime" half of my challenge sheet, and made a bonus deposit from another small bit of income that arrived.

The bank paid my first interest payment. A whopping $0.09 woo hoo! Okay I'm not going to get rich from this account but nine cents is better than no cents.

Yeah $0.09 interest is nuts but I guess that's our reality right now. I made a mistake on my addition in the last thread. My EF balance is now actually $475.09 I am dying to get to the $1K base amount then attack my credit cards.
