Have an important package to send off? While United Parcel Service (UPS) is one of the country’s largest shipping companies, even they need to take a day off from time to time. Make sure you’re familiar with their hours and the UPS holiday schedule to ensure your packages arrive in time.
UPS Holiday Schedule 2019
Everyone needs a break for the holiday. The UPS holiday schedule for the rest of 2019 includes:
May 27th (Memorial Day)
July 4th (Independence Day)
September 2nd (Labor Day)
November 28 (Thanksgiving Day)
December 25th (Christmas Day)
January 1st, 2020 (New Year’s Day)
UPS does not deliver on any of the days above unless you have sent an emergency shipment by UPS Express Critical. Otherwise, deliveries resume the day after the holiday.
Consumers have asked about a number of other holidays and how shipping is impacted. Keep these in mind throughout this and every year:
Martin Luther King Jr, Day – no schedule changes.

Presidents Day – no schedule changes.
Mother’s Day – no schedule changes, but be mindful of the fact that Mother’s Day is always on a Sunday, so there are already limited delivery options and hours.
Columbus Day – no schedule changes.
Veterans Day – no schedule changes for UPS pickup and delivery, but some UPS stores may have altered hours.
Day After Thanksgiving – regular pickup and delivery continues as per the normal schedule, but UPS Freight and UPS Forwarding services are not available.
Christmas Eve – UPS delivers in all areas on Christmas Eve, but some services are limited or must be arranged for in advance. Pickup services are not available.
New Year’s Eve – The only packages delivered on New Year’s Eve are UPS Air and International Air.
