Thats the hard part. I use to love the work. started having good client giving me trouble with VERY late payments. Had to fire an employee who for the most part stole from me by reporting hours not worked. Had to cover some damage to a property which was not bad but all this stuff in one week and ever since I have just dreaded working rather than enjoy it as I use to.

This is all pretty basic stuff that all business owners encounter occasionally, and each can be dealt with. You have to get tough with slow paying clients, or quit doing business with them. Dishonest employees have to be disciplined and corrected or terminated. If your business does some property damage, just suck it up and correct it quickly, clients appreciate this.

Also calls for new business just completely stopped coming in. One day I could not keep up with the work then the next nothing. I have gone several months without one phone call.

It would be a rare business where the phone just keeps ringing to bring you all the business you need. If that is the case, you are probably working too cheap. The only way to correct this problem, is to get out and makes some personal sales calls on clients you would like to do business with.

Folks, this thread is form 2010. I'm sure the OP is long gone.

Please pay attention. Spammers love to dredge up ancient threads. I have no idea why but they do.

this is my opinion from the type of spam threads this forum has seen. I think maybe they're just trying to pull up free advice to copy/paste into their own blogging or other type of help site to drive their own ad revenue.

Start a thread, ask an open ended 401k question, and boom, you have all this 401k advice to dump into your blog.

Steve, why dont you or other mods simply lock the threads once you notice it happening?
