I’m looking for a parcel that some of those wind turbines might want to be planted on some day. My brother-in-law owns 50-ish sections of ranch land, with about a dozen of those on his land paying $1800 a month a piece.

I’m looking for a parcel that some of those wind turbines might want to be planted on some day. My brother-in-law owns 50-ish sections of ranch land, with about a dozen of those on his land paying $1800 a month a piece.

That peaked my interest. Appears 3/4 of an acre required per megawatt of wind turbine capacity. My understanding is that typical wind turbines are now in the 2-3 megawatt range. That's not necessarily a huge parcel (or investment) to site a dozen units.
