  • What is your overall Expense Ratio (ER) on your portfolio (2018)?

I just did my latest blended expense ratio-- I came up with .058 which is a slight improvement from last year.

    2016
    Wife - .2%...$184k...$370 in fees
    Me - .092%...$380k...$350 in fees

    2017
    Wife - .18%...$258k...$461 in fees
    Me - .09%...$483k...$435 in fees

This is about as black and white as it gets. In both years my investments are around $200k larger than my wifes...yet I pay less in fees than she does. ER does matter...over time it can add up to large amounts of money someone else gets to keep!

    Our AA is...

    (stocks/bonds/cash)
    2016 - 80/9/11
    2017 - 82/10/8
