      Is its $25k for 3 years or $8k/year for 3 years? That is a tough cookie to pass. Is it a lump sum pension potential pay out or just a pension?

        I would be buoyant! Congratulations. Of course you can change your mind about when to retire at any time if things get to be a grudge or if the freedom of pursuing your retirement plans beckons too sweetly.

          In the grand scheme of things, three years can go by in a flash. I would be very tempted to wait it out, especially considering that 58 is still pretty young to be retired, too.

            $25K more a year if I wait at 58.

            The current contract will expire in mid-2020. Not to be greedy but we could potentially see more future raises/HCOLA if California economy doesn't tank anytime soon.
