Since this is an anonymous forum, I think it would be cool if each person interested posted his entire monthly budget, so we could see how each other spends money and if there are tips/suggestions/red flags where we could improve. I'll await the mods to OK the concept, but if it's OK, I'm glad to be the first.

Let's all see our monthly budgets...???

So is the savings $1650 per month I assume ? Paid off mortgage it looks like. How do you get by on $100 for food? I spend that much per month on milk, cereal, pop tarts, and coffee. Yes the RR payment is stupid, but is part of the car payments. It's the absurd part of our budget - I really like nice cars thoughOriginally posted by Singuy View PostHey Texas, is the 1000/month range rover lease part of your wife's expenditures?

My parents buy most of the food because they want us over to eat so we eat 80% of our meals there.Originally posted by TexasHusker View PostSo is the savings $1650 per month I assume ? And no that's a savings of $16,300/month (had to revise some numbers like I forgot our cellphone bill)Last edited by Singuy; 04-16-2016, 09:18 AM.

That's incredible !! Are you saving for anything in particular? College, retirement etc ?Originally posted by Singuy View PostMy parents buy most of the food because they want us over to eat so we eat 80% of our meals there.

Want a good nest egg and eventually earn enough passive income to retire early. Newborn daughter's college tuition is paid for via prepaid. I have 700k worth of real estate(my current house) so I'm most likely done with buying properties unless we have another housing crisis.Originally posted by TexasHusker View PostThat's incredible !! Goal is to hit 1 million in savings earning 5-7% from muni bonds/preferred stocks by 37yo and 2 million by 40yo.Last edited by Singuy; 04-16-2016, 09:38 AM.

Sounds like you're on your way. But dont forget to live in the meantime. You won't get these years back.Originally posted by Singuy View PostWant a good nest egg and eventually earn enough passive income to retire early. Newborn daughter's college tuition is paid for via prepaid.

As I explained in the other thread..my wife and I have always been frugal people. We would entertain the idea of spending lots of money on something that depreciates or have no returns..and then later freaks out about it (like the Mercedes).Originally posted by TexasHusker View PostSounds like you're on your way. We just don't feel comfortable riding first class(paying double)..or getting a suite on a cruise(paying triple)...we are still inside cabin type of people and may continue to be...
My wife is parking her used car we just bought far away under a tree as we speak just so people will not dent it.

I have a good friend very similar to that. He actually has fun being frugal - it's like a daily personal challenge. He laughs at my indulgences, I laugh at his penny pinching. His net worth is probably twice mine, but we are both blessed beyond measure.Originally posted by Singuy View PostAs I explained in the other thread..my wife and I have always been frugal people. I'm with you on the dents thing - I park my car an acre away from the crowds.
