Ive been timing the market...kinda

Im an investor who likes to buy/hold for a lengthy period of time. Ive never tried to get out of the market before a crash.

With that being said...I have found myself purchasing more shares of vtsax whenever there is a nice dip...like a couple days ago and even today. Regardless I still purchase shares at the beginning of each month like clockwork so that hasnt changed one bit.

Anyone else find themselves jumping in more recently?

I've been setting aside funds to facilitate buying extra on dips when more of the drama has played out. Do you watch Baltic Dry as one harbinger of the economy?

I utilize limit orders for some purchases when the market is trending downward.

I determine a price that I'm comfortable with and then wait to see if the trade goes through. I look at the 52-week low price; previous price dips, 5- and 10-year prices, etc.
